Yeah Gus had that big dispute over the recycling plant in Milford too. There was a bizarre legal dispute between him and this woman Chapdelaine (?) over who owned it and the property. She said she's on the papers and she'll take Gus and his people "whoever they are", to the Supreme Court to prove she's the real owner. The court essentially said she was just a front for Gus to get the permit and he's the real owner AND, because he is the real owner, the permit is revoked because he has a history of environmental non-compliance. So he's selling the land.

In Southern CT where I live from Stamford to New Haven the Genovese have the carting / strip clubs and construction and the obvious book. The Gambinos are booking shylocking amd shaking down. The difference is the Binos get busted every five years shaking everyone. The guy in Bridgeport oens allcthe titty bars and garbage and is unscathed.

It seems to me... In my opnion... Plz correct me if im wrong...

Genovese have become way more technical in recent years....

While Gambinos stay more on the drug side of things and more traditional mafia rackets.

And lukes seem to also be following the trend of genovese just on a lower level.

Idk if im correct or not.... Im just acknowledging what i am seeing.

The last case was back involving them was in 2005 when the government brought a RICO complaint against the entire ILA. Like the article says, most of the piers in Manhattan and Brooklyn are gone and the majority of the containers are on the Jersey side - Genovese territory.

Local 1235 in Newark has failed to keep the Genovese control of over top officials there . They have relatives, Brother-inlaws ..you name it They all replace whomever was kicked out in the last bust. I think it will take several generations. They have a huge Shybook & Sports book on Port Newark. The arrests don't change anything. I think you just have to wait for guys to die off.

I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say "no evidence" but there have been several mob waterfront cases over the past 15 years.

Are the Gambino's still on the waterfront or did that end when Sonny Ciccone and his crew were busted in the early 2000's?

Yall are getn to technical for me now... WG, lol you can murder me when it comes to your knowledge. I guess i just havent payed attention bc i assumed that waterfront activitt was over. And that article did not show sources. So i assumed that.
