[quote="phatmatress777"]Jcb about earlier I apologize about earlier if I seemed rude I've been reading to many fb mob sites where if you say anything I.e. "The iceman was a liar and 3-4th of what he said was bullshit" people will attack you with that what's your source where's your source publish a source!!!! Like everyone with any mob knowledge knows the guy is full of bullshit but I can't exactly site all of the sources I've read over the years that has put his stories to rest. Like I said I was under the impression the official freeze came down much later down the line. I thought after strollo and Porter were revealed that the ax was given to them. What you said makes sense and wherever I read 99 over the years didn't seem far fetched.

Gravano flipped around 1991 and that sent many crime families running for the hills. It wouldn't shock me if somehow that is correlated to the NYC crime families not really overseeing the smaller eastern and midwestern families

No need to apologize. I wasn't asking you to post a source, just was wondering which source you read that said that. I know you're legit and work hard at finding info.

Any reason why he went with the pagans and didn't join his fathers crime family?

Anthony "Rocky" LaRocca was the nephew of Sebastian LaRocca. Big John had a brother whose first name was actually John, he was a Barber in the Johnstown area, not affiliated with OC other than his brother was a boss. He was an officer with Keystone Vending, owned by Joseph Regino, longtime Capo of Johnstown/Altoona. LaRocca also had brothers named Joseph and Anthony, both Barber's for a living.

I've never heard of the name I asked my mom and she is almost certain that he was a relation of the cantalupo family here that was involved in the mob and ran a shoe factory that she worked in the mid to late 60s.

@PHATMATTRESS

I just stumbled on new information. In the 1960's, there was a Calabrian in Indiana, PA named Sam Adornato who lived at 235 East Grant who informants stated was a member of the Calabrese Organization headed by Dominic Mallamo and Paul Romeo in Youngstown. Have you heard this name before?

Sam Adornato came to the United States on 1-31-1920 and prior to entering the Cafe business, worked in a Youngstown Steel Mill and then operated a coffee house in the Brier Hill Mill District.

Sam left Youngstown in 1932 for Indiana, PA. He married Catherine Romeo, daughter of Frank Romeo, a long time resident of Indiana and first cousin with Paul and Mike Romeo of Youngstown. One of Frank Romeo's daughters, Rose, was married to Frank Corbi (of the infamous Baltimore, MD Corbi Brothers...His brother Pat Corbi married the widow of Nick Mallamo, head of Youngstown Black Hand and murder victim in 1927) He stayed in the cafe business until he purchased the Steve Balough Building, formerly known as the Montgomery Hotel. After remodeling the building, he opened the Hub Cafe. He and his wife had 5 daughters. In 1953, he was living at 295 S. Third St in Indiana, PA.

On 2/6/1964 at the funeral of Rocco Martelli, Dominic "Big Dom" Mallamo was observed by the FBI in a Chrysler Imperial registered to Sam Adornato.

Supposedly, he also delivered "special merchandise" (i.e. coke,weed, etc) to select customers.

Richie was a roulette dealer at the Jockey Club and Red Dog on RT.30 in Chester West Virginia. Last I heard, Richie is still in the flooring business in Florida.

Great info , here is the flooring company I was reffering to http://pecoraflooring.com/contact/
