Re: Blackmail to the [Italian]Republic

Carminati was alleged to be the triggerman in the Pecorelli murder, that's one of the theories. He was also a prominent member of the Magliana gang in Rome (Banda della Magliana), on organization above the level of an average street gang, although not a real "mafia". However, they had ties to Pippo Calo', the boss of the Porta Nuova family in Palermo, when he was fugitive in Rome, living under the name of Mario Agliarolo (or Aglialoro, don't remember how it's spelled).

About right-wing terrorists, that no joke at all, there were both left-wing and right-wing terrorists in Italy, both equally ferocius. However, the right-wing (fascist-type) terrorists had support from some of the secret services. The difference was only their killing style: the right wing terrorists mostly used bombs to blow up multiple targets, the left-wing (Red brigades), killed specific selected targets with normal guns. Bombs are more dangerous though as they hit passerbys who weren't even supposed to be the targets. However, I don't know whose body count was higher at the end...

Mostly because the grammatical errors yeah. But also because you didn´t provide background story to the post. What was the blackmail? Secret tapes? Secret videos or what? Is Carminati associated with organized crime?
Yes sorry. Massimo Carminati was a right wong terrorist and the last of the banda della magliana gang boss that wasnt jailed or dead he is called O Cecato (the one eyed) because lost the eye in a shot against the police. He was the chief of mafia capitale rackets and was intochables until 2015 when was arrested.
The 1999 heist served to take some stuff on judges, politicans, bussiness men ecc what this stuff consiste are unknown but served to black mail the owner.

When made the heist Carminati was on trial with Gulino Andreotti for the 1978 murder of mino Pecorelli.

Its called black mail to the repubblic because more of the stuff is supposed to be part of the most infamous italian repubblica segrets.

Carminati in 1999 robbed 197 security boxes where judge, journalist and more powerful people keep their secrets. He made this for adjust trials and black mail powerful politicians and not only. In the heist to the Judicial City Carminati was helped by a clerk ruined by debts that give him the keys and by 4 corrupted carabinieri, one of them was a junkie.

Carminati and his gang used a van that was the same model used by the carabinieri, so avoid controls and thanks to a list when the others rob 9 milions euro; the shocking fact was that he palace of justice in Rome was the most survellaid bank in italy but Carminat imenaged to rob secet files for black mail judges, lawyers, bussiness men ecc and from this point he become "untouchable".

Hairy you can't read the text due a grammatical mistakes or for others ?

Blackmail to the Republic

Blackmail Massimo Carminati here is the list of people robbed, stolen in the vault of 1999

The one-eyed man emptied 147 cassettes, striking magistrates, lawyers, justice officials. Associated with the greatest mysteries of Italy: from the Bologna massacre at P2, the Pasolini murder, murder Pecorelli, from Magliana gang to Cosa Nostra. In the background stands out the shadow of Andreotti. And so was born a power that still scare.

OF LIRIO ABBATE AND PAOLO BIONDANI

24 ottobre 2016

The coup of the century, had been defined. But it was not just a sensational theft: the motive was a great blackmail. To the state and to the Justice. In the final judgments judges wrote about an "exceptional" booty "At least 18 billion old lire," (about 9 milion euros) never recovered. Underline "the audacity" of a "spectacular criminal action":a commando of bandits robbed in peace and quiet, the vault of the most guarded of the Italian banks, without shooting, without even force a lock, without triggering the double alarm system. Go without fail: they hold a selected list of safe deposit boxes to empty. It is a high damaging theft "that pushes the magistrates of yesterday and today to highlight the" "Charge of
intimidation ".
For "the symbolic value of the infringed place»: the Palace of Justice in Rome, in Piazzale Clodio, guarded day and night by armed military. For "the disturbing corrupting influence of penetration even into the Carabinieri." For the quality of the victims: dozens of high magistrates, lawyers, clerks, consultants, professionals and entrepreneurs. And for the "power of blackmail" which, according to the judgments, was the real target of that assault to the heart of Italian justice. Organized and directed by Massimo Carminati, former black terrorist who just since then become "untouchable". A "charismatic boss" that while is on trial with Giulio Andreotti for the murder of journalist Mino Pecorelli, empty the safe deposit boxes of a list of Roman magistrates and lawyers to whom want to spy the secrets.

The genesis of "Mafia Capitale" is realized in the summer 1999, with this great shot while Italy deludes itself that has closed the black book of the First Republic.Right-wing massacres, left-wing terrorism and the Cold War are faded memories. At the head of the government's Massimo D'Alema, the first post-communist prime minister. While Carminati slips at night in the vault, the country is the shadow of the crisis and the "technical
government" of D'Alema is concerned about the rebirth of a Great center that can push the left in the opposition. After decades of public debt, crises and devaluations, the accounts are in order and the euro at the doors seems to announce a strong and united Europe.

The economy grows, the euphoria pushes the brave captains of finance to scale former state monopolies such as Telecom. Even Tangentopoli seems archived: despite more than a thousand convictions for corruption and blacks funds in the 1992-94 years;the bicameral agreement, with the right of Berlusconi has given birth to a constitutional reform, renamed 'due process', capable of destroying even the accuse verbals already collected by
the judiciary. That was never reached so high: in Milan, also process the corrupt judges of the capital, in Rome the unpunished boss of the Magliana gang, between Palermo and Perugia sits in the dock even Senator for life Giulio Andreotti for mafia association and murder (of Mino Pecorelli).

The attack on the capital's judicial fortress takes place in the night between Friday 16 and Saturday, July 17, 1999. The "Judicial City" is entirely enclosed by high walls guarded night and day by the Carabinieri. Inside there is the agency 91 the Bank of Rome. Carminati and his accomplices arriving after 18, inside a van identical to the one in use to the carabinieri, which in this way avoids the controls. At half past midnight at least
eight bandits enter into the underground vault, without breaking anything, using the keys and the combinations provided by an accomplice: a bank employee ruined by debts. Leading the command is Carminati in person. In his hand had a piece of paper with a list of names, written in red with a pen: they are judges, lawyers, court clerks.

"These boxes are mine," intimate to theaccomplices, all very experienced burglars. "Everything else is your" adds "the one-eyed". The judgments explain that Carminati, with that shot, "is looking for documents to blackmail judges" and "adjust processes': in 900 deposit boxes was opened only 147. Aperture on the recommendation. The other bandits link to the money: broke entire boxes , grabbing cash, jewelry and fill fifteen sports bags. Carminati instead has "a map with the cassettes numbers" are those that interest them, they found open "in no particular order".

In front to the carabinieri, the criminals escape. The former Black terrorist instead has at least corrupted four, recruited by a cocaine addict non-commissioned officer:the three accompany the gang in the vault, the fourth opens the outer gate of the fortified citadel. At 4 am the raid is over: the bandits leave quietly, in the van with the colors of the police, with a haul of over nine million euro, of which will be recovered less
than 150,000 Euros.

Saturday, July 17 at 6:40 the cleaning lady gives the alarm. The first police officers, find in the vault the burglary tools and a chaotic heap of empty deposit boxes. The first news tell of a billionaire stolen property , including gold, jewelry and cash, but also of two kilos of cocaine, but for which in the acts of the process there is no trace. The Rome of the powerful men, tremble: the safe deposit boxes serve to guard not only jewelry, but also bundles of black money, that is too dangerous to deposit on regular bank accounts. And often they hide documents and scandalous photos. Among the customers of that bank, there are dozens of judges, lawyers and court employees.

The list was never made public.

Investigations of Perugia pubblic minister speculate that the strike has accelerated. That bank was still open even on Saturdays. If Carminati acted Friday night, it means he was in a hurry. There is reason to suspect that the former terrorist had known that some excellent customer, the next morning, planned to pick something very important.
The judges of the subsequent trials, conducted in Perugia right "for its large number of judges among the victims"conclude that a theft like that was definitely "aimed at the abduction of burning documents, used to blackmail the victim or third parties. ' The investigations have failed to clarify whether Carminati has reached his objective, mainly because "no one has reported the theft of documents." But the court does not believe it, noting that "those who by chance had held such material, hardly well would then be willing to enthusiastically denounce the disappearance."
