I don't think I knew this. That might explain Tronolone's close relationship to John Simone, as Simone started out as an associate(?) in Buffalo before settling in Trenton.
Could be , I never knew Simone started in Buffalo, Did Simone ever spend time in FLA? I am sure when Peanuts was in Floridia he rubbed shoulders with wiseguys from all over.
Yep, Simone lived in Florida starting in the late 1960s and into the 1970s when the state of NJ began their investigations. He definitely associated with Tronolone down there (including after the Bruno murder), but I'm thinking it goes back much further. Simone was very nationally connected... born in Pennsylvania, raised in Niagara Falls where he was involved in bootlegging but maintained ties to the Trenton/Philly area where he had cousins. Officially moved to Trenton in the 1940s where he became close to Sam DeCavalcante. Sam was proposed for membership in the Philly family but his father knocked it down -- seems possible that Simone was proposed into the Philly family around this time as well.
