Cool story BW. Every time I see him on some mob doc I keep thinking. Look at this guy, he is the MASTER bullshitter, con artist. Yes, he may have found Jesus/God, but man does he capitalize on that shit to the hilt. Plus it's so easy to hide over here in Cali. He lives in the next town from me and people around here know next to nothing about the REAL mob and just how terrible these guys are. My two cents.

(Faithful1/Antiliar can probably give us a better opinion about him since he speaks to him)

I hope Sonny makes it out before he dies like a dog in prison. That's a terrible way to go.

Yes. Do I think he regrets his past and wishes he could do it all over? No he doesnt regret it at all.

Michael had 3 life times of money when he originally got out of prison so he wasnt hurting for cash when he left the mob. He went the religious route and being the smart guy that he is turned it into another profitable business. I did want to say to him that while he rants about Hillary Clinton being a criminal but yet he was no different and still gets paid off his name I didnt wanna go their. Ill say this though Michael wouldnt be even 10 percent as successful with this church business if he didnt have a notorious name with an interesting reform story to go along with it. Hes a nice guy so Im not bashing him but if you look at it a certain way he doesnt really try to hide who he is, hes pretty straight foward in his I was in the mob now Im a preacher.

We used to be in contact during the glory days of AOL, he would also ask me religious questions, referring to Jesus/God as He or Him capitalized and if I accepted Him as my lord and savior. I said no to see what he said and that all but ended the relationship. I personally thought he had that shit on copy and paste. I don't know the man's personal feelings but no one can say he "left" the mob behind when he speaks in present tense regarding past crimes and has padded his "mob career" over the years, moving the bar from him being a onetime acting captain to being groomed to be Alphonse Persico's Underboss. He dresses the part of the Hollywood Goodfella fitting right in with Scotto and other guinea failures. His books Quitting the Mob and Mob Covenant have as much disparities as Joe Pistone's Donnie Brasco and Unfinished Business 20 years later.

And I recently out of boredom messaged Michaels church Facebook page telling him who my family was and even brought up a story told to me only someone who knows would know. Anyways I asked him about this article not thinking hes the one who does that Facebook but sure enough earlier today he messaged me back to my surprise and told me that he expect his dad to die a free man. Now he didnt say whether the old man was really sick or what but I guess Michael believes Sonny will live at least another 9 months. He also didnt say when the last time he saw him was either.

It was quite the site to look at my phone and see it say Michael Franseze messaged you lol.

The Brooklyn U.S. Attorney’s office is opposing 99-year-old Colombo mobster John Franzese's request for an early release from prison because of his advanced age and medical issues.

Franzese, former underboss of the crime family and holder of the distinction as the oldest inmate in the federal prison system, filled out paperwork last year for "compassionate release consideration," according to documents unsealed Friday. The warden denied his request.

He is due to complete a 96-month jail term for racketeering and extortion of the Hustler and Penthouse strip clubs next June when he will be 100. Franzese is doing his time at the Federal Medical Center in Devens, Massachusetts.

Let the old man out for christ sake.
The old man killed dozens of people at least...he had a good run but he'll rot in prison. Rightfully so.

He doesn't know anything else but OC. And he is not some rich guy who could easily live off his life of crime. Most of these guys don't have two cents to rub together when they get out of prison. Its why they always go back to it.

He was arrested in May 2007. However, in Dec. 2008 he was able to post bond and was released from the MDC under strict conditions. He went on trial in 2010 and was convicted sometime late that year, and has remained incarcerated ever since.

Ironically the sentence hes serving now is his firdt conviction since 1967. All the other times he went back in was because of parole violations stemming from that conviction.

I still think he outlives his sentence. Kinda rooting for the old fella.....haha
