You are thinking of Nick Licata. He went on to be Boss of LA. Funny enough his son Carlo got made in LA and later transferred to Detroit.

I think Chicago just gave him permission to operate, he never transferred families as far as I know. I'm sure the Outfit got something from him, too.

Pogo, i believe brasco went to both in the same operation. It started in milwaukee. Him and another agent met w balisteri. Then balisteri stopped talking to them. So brascos cover story was they went to chicago to meet w more ppl and then the guy supposedly ran off

Frank Lombardo a man of Paolo Gambino lived in Chicago. Perhaps a Gambino member or maybe not. Mentioned by Luigi Ronsisvalle.

Actually Brasco went to Milwaukee.

Elmo Amarante was in Chicago. He operated a strip club there if I recall.

He was in chicago? Or somewhere in Illinois? That kinda surprises me to hear about ny guys in chi town.

Donnie brasco went to chicago for his art scandal to get a agent off the hook from the bonananno or something and lefty said watch out the chicago guys are animals

Johnny Roselli was an Outfit guy wasn't he? Yet spent a lot of his time in LA I believe.

I'm really interested in the Detroit/SoCal connections. You had some guys like Licata made in LA, but end up in Detroit. And other guys like Mirabile from Detroit, yet end up in LA org. I'm not sure if he was made in Detroit however. Then you have the Matranga/Priziola connections between SoCal and Detroit. Other big Partinico drug traffickers like Frankie Coppola and Salvatore Vitale shuttled back and forth between Detroit and SoCal.

He's back in Brooklyn for a while now. But yeah he was. I think Johnny Green Faraci had connections to the outfit and his son does as well. But I am pretty sure that Elmo was in Louie HaHa's crew. But they are all Brooklyn guys.....
