leonetti book was good but it came out 20 yrs late. the story was told a few times over plus all his testimony was circulating fir 30yrs. I forgot he wrote that maybe last good mob book. little Al's was great to

Guys like pennisi, cicale, Jr Calabrese in Chicago, etc, still absolutely have plenty of contacts and ears to the street, even with made guys. I’m not sure people who aren’t from these areas realize how gossipy these Italian men are. It’s like golden girls but with fat greaseballs. They never shut up and stop talking and it is one of the reasons that the mafia in the US collapsed. They never know when to shut up, and active made guys have shown that they don’t have qualms about fraternizing with rats

I don’t think he’s eveR claimed to be some prolific hitman or massive earner, but I think his resume speaks for itself. That said, he’s clearly unhinged

Pennisi is unintentionally hilarious. He is a petty guy.
But he was a real deal. He did 17 years in state prison system and he was inducted into Lucchese crime family.

Plenty. He broke the news of Zappola being the Jersey captain years ago and the acting boss seat being warm for him when he's ready. He's ID'd new members that have been made after he left the life. Back when I subscribed to Scott's site he put out multiple articles after Pennisi came out with something. "According to sitdownnews John Pennisi".....read that many times. Just like after Capeci broke something and Scott would have an article out about it. A lot of piggybacking.
