He was facing life in prison that’s why he cooperated. His dad wasnt even active and hadnt been for years why would he be killed and why would the mob have told him before they killed him? Also the father didnt go into witness protection after Goia Jr flipped and stayed in the neighborhood, so it’s bullshit.
The only reason these guys flip when there under indictment facing life or close to it, is because they don’t want to do the time.
I know little about Gioia so I will take your word. And in most cases I agree with you but I do believe some would have done the time or not cooperated had they not felt betrayed eg dileonardo and pennisi, there may or may not be others I would need to refresh my memory. The mob plays its part in driving these guys to do it is all I’m saying

ya it's pretty good but I just find that story hard to believe but it's just so weird it sounds true. who cares about blacks telling a middle age white guy phone check or whatever. but the part about ray rapping wu tang it not bad it's just strange lol. there's a few pictures of ray Jr in fed prison with heavyweight boston n nyc guys so I find it strange. anyway ya when he talks about the luchese family from his time 1989 to 94 when he flips it's pretty good no one really is around to tell it besides little al whose book is great. if frank reads this play the hits no one wants to hear the bands new stuff play the hits. which it seems like he's doing. the way it's released is weird to like 10 15 min segments 2 times a week randomly

He was clear it was Raymond and physically described him. Also, he noted the confrontation with the Dominicans due to Ray giving up the phone.

Obv I don't know Ray Jr but I found that story hard to believe. Personally I think he is mixing Jr up with another Ray or something. Ray Jr was not cut out for the life, but he was born into it and around legends in the life. I highly doubt he was going around rapping in prison. Could be wrong though. I agree the podcast has improved a lot. I also love that neon sign in the back that says "Don't do coke in the bathroom" with the don't lighting on and off

He finally caved & mainly only talks about the Life & the boys now, which is what everyone expected to begin with. So yeah, he’s salvaged it, because it was tanking previously

I was and not sure what you said lol. I do think sometimes it’s easier said than done, sure they committed to crime and they broke the cardinal rule and I think most of them own that. Some I don’t think have particularly valid reasons, some admitted to crimes where I find it hard to believe or support that they are free from prison. Alternatively I’m sure some were put in situations where their principles had been broken beyond repair and their options were to fight the mob or cooperate. Neither a good solution. I also don’t support that anyone who doesn’t rat is some kind of hero, in the grand scheme of things they’re criminals who take through violence/intimidation rat or not

Whether you are scared of prison or not, it's not the point i was trying to make. You ratted. You told on your friends. But now they are the harbingers of truth? What, they started a youtube channel, so now they have some journalistic integrity? They are suddenly strong advocates for constitutional rights and the 1st amendment?

If you know anything about the bible... they are Judas. He was one of Jesus 12 apostles who ratted him out for money..
It was wrong then and it's wrong now. Not to mention Gioa went right back to crime when he went into witness protection.

I always laugh when these guys start talking about remorse for what they did. Every last one of them would still be on the streets today had they not been threatened with heavy prison sentences.

I just finished watching the Gioia podcast where he talks about GasPipe. He's way better on his own show. Not bad actually. Gioia said he was sick during the Vlad interview. I liked his comparison of the Manhattan guys and the Brooklyn guys.
