And the National Enquirer was right about the John Edwards affair during the U.S. 2008 presidential campaign. But it's still the National Enquirer and nobody considers it a legitimate news outlet. The Gangster Report/Original Gangsters podcast is basically the National Enquirer. Entertaining at times but typically a little truth mixed with a whole bunch of nonsense. As long as people remember that, there's not much of an issue. The problem starts when people (including Scott himself) start taking him seriously, using him as a reference, or using his information without a dumptruck of salt.
I mean....fair enough. I'm not taking a side.

But I was caught offguard here. I'll be completely honest. I don't usually follow a lot of Scott's stuff.

But this meeting? I must have been outta the loop. I hadn't even heard about it. Between this and the recent arrest of D'damo's guy, we got some info on a man who was a mystery at best.

I was just like......when the fuck was this? DECEMBER?
I mean...we talk Montreal to death. Like I said, I'm either out the loop, or something. I missed a thread or two....

For the record it makes fuck all difference. The point remains the same and you are fed misinformation and you can't seem to accept that this is the case. The frequency that your "sources" give you in depth insight to the inner workings of the mafia should be a red flag for you. Do you ever stop to ask why are they giving you so much information so frequently and so willingly and of such a high level. The sort of information that for decades they have tried to hide they suddenly decide to give you weekly updates for your subscription service. These guys risking are prison or violent repercussions to give you this information for no gain?

The reality is you just regurgitate what you are told and vet fuck all. Mudding the waters of history and providing the mafia with alternate versions of history to reference in the future. scotts alternate mafia history is a more accurate summation of your website.

I have issue with him presenting fiction as fact weekly. Tired of misinformation merchants presenting everything they hear as fact. Onus is on the reader to disprove these claims and that is not how journalism should work. He is making an alternative version of history with his fan fiction and charges people for this.

"We see now that there is indeed a potential truce between certain criminal groups, including the Hells Angels and the Italian mafia," said Francis Renaud, commander of the Organized Crime Division (Antigang) of the Montreal Police Service (SPVM).

In 2023, Montreal's Hells Angels and the Rizzuto clan competed for control of illegal sports betting, according to a police theory.

Leonardo Rizzuto was shot while on board his SUV in March 2023.
The conflict culminated in the attempted murder of Leonardo Rizzuto, the youngest son of the late mafia godfather Vito Rizzuto, in March 2023, and the murder of a former clan lieutenant, Francesco Del Balso, three months later.

But since last year, groups described by the police as "emerging" have begun to march through the shelves of large criminal organizations, and to compete with them in some of their traditional activities such as extortion and the import and distribution of cocaine.
Alongside all of this, the Hells Angels have been facing a rebellion in the eastern part of the province for over a year.

A "union" that makes the strength
Over the holidays, the host of a podcast about crime in Detroit, USA, announced, citing sources, that a peace was made between Martin Robert and Leonardo Rizzuto, in a Montreal restaurant, in mid-December.

In the days and weeks that followed, La Presse tried unsuccessfully to get the information confirmed by police, judicial and criminal sources until it learned that in January, the man whom the police consider to be the protector of the Sicilian clan, Pietro D'Adamo, had dinner with Martin Robert at a Montreal restaurant. The two men were each allegedly flanked by an individual who seemed to be protecting them.

Without confirming this information, however, Commander Renaud is able to say that the police are indeed observing a détente between the Rizzuto clan and Martin Robert's group.

The commander of the SPVM's Organized Crime Division, Francis Renaud

"We saw a truce between the two criminal organizations and we observed facts on the ground that show us that. It is believed that there is currently a certain union between criminal organizations, including motorcyclists and certain mafia groups, which have decided to ally themselves, or even to conclude a non-aggression pact," continues Commander Renaud.
Joining forces to rule better
Since Vito Rizzuto's natural death in December 2013, mafia, bikers and gangs have formed an alliance to lead Montreal's organized crime.

She was beheaded in Operation Magot-Mastiff in November 2015, but continued until a conflict between the Sicilians and Martin Robert's group in 2023, and gang leader Gregory Woolley, who exercised some control over the street in Montreal, was assassinated in November of that year.
Gregory Woolley arrested by Quebec Security investigators in Operation Magot-Mastiff on the morning of November 19, 2015. He was killed in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu in November 2023.

Commander Renaud says that for the past few months, there has been a lull in high-level criminal organizations, because they are aware that the threat comes from below.

We have emerging groups that want to take their place and are not afraid of the words bikers and mafia. The mafia and the bikers, they've seen refractory people who want to take their place for a long time," he says.

These emerging groups are not afraid of anything. They're going to use violence, so it can become a problem for the mafia or the bikers.

Francis Renaud, Commander of the SPVM Organized Crime Division

"Right now, on the Montreal organized crime scene, it's not dividing and ruling, on the contrary. Instead, we will unite to rule. Organizations have no choice. It is in motion at the moment and some criminal organizations have to make alliances with others to survive, something we have never seen before," says Francis Renaud.

Targeted traders
La Presse also found that misdeeds or acts of violence have targeted at least three traders or entrepreneurs in the district of Saint-Léonard or the district of Little Italy in recent weeks.

A pastry shop on Dante Street was the target of gunfire during the long Easter holiday, and we were told that traders are being demanded for a few thousand dollars a month in exchange for supposed protection.
This pastry shop, a real institution in Little Italy, was the target of gunfire last week.

According to Commander Renaud, there is no necessarily a common thread between all these events. He refuses, for the moment at least, to talk about the beginning of a new wave of extortion, but adds that the SPVM police remain on the lookout.

"Landlords who are extorted and asked for money should call the police and let us know before giving any money. We have inside information that still points to people who might be incarcerated right now. We have targets in our sights and we will follow this carefully," concludes Commander Renaud.

History so far

March 15, 2023: Leonardo Rizzuto is the victim of an attempted shooting murder on Highway 440 near Highway 13 in Laval.
June 5, 2023: A former lieutenant of the Rizzuto clan, Francesco Del Balso, is shot dead in the west of the island of Montreal, probably in retaliation for the attack on the younger son of the former mafia godfather. Police believe that both events occurred as part of a dispute between the Sicilian clan and a group of Hells Angels led by Martin Robert for control of illegal sports betting, historically controlled by the mafia.

2024: Tension would still have existed between the two groups until the end of last year.
It seems legit?

Scott you are terrible. So what I say is wrong? But what you say with your made up theories is correct? You are the same person who said people were fire bombing Joe C. Nicky c house was vandalized. The gambinos are a three ring circus. Yet I haven’t heard any of this, besides you. Was fat Larry contested ? Was spinelli contested? Wasn’t it said his brother introduced him on visits as a friend. Can other families say they won’t recognize him absolutely. No one will because the guy has earned tremendous respect. You just say whatever you feel and then want to get defensive. Who cares how close he got with johnny joe and Mikey in jail, people get close with other crews all the time that doesn’t give them the right to decide they should be able to poach them. If they wanted him they should have had him out with them befor his jail ceremony.
