Its astounding that the biggest news in OC is someone meeting and handing over en envelope opposed to finding a guy shot in the trunk of a car.

Is this caught on surveillance by the feds? So, you got feds doing 24/7 surveillance on state gambling charges traveling from NYC to Philly to watch a 20 min conversation and hand over money?

NJ state cases work differently. None of the defendants have been formally indicted yet. That's still to come.
What was Op Heat? Feds?
Operation Heat was NJ state charges. But even then, they were arrested in 2007 but the indictment didn't drop until 2010:

I imagine the wait won't be as long in this case considering the defendants who have been ordered detained following their arrests. Part of the delay prior to the indictment in Operation Heat was also because authorities were waiting for a NY investigation to conclude.

Years back Dave or Scott or someone reported that there were several factions of the Philly fam and this seems to bear that out. No way Phil is retired if he’s meeting with big rigs of other families for cash. He’s just not part of the Merlino wing
Merlino talks about Phil as if they are still friendly. He doesn't talk like there is any ill will like you see on these forums. It could just be a respect thing, but he doesn't speak negatively at all. Which he usually does with people he don't like.
