Does anyone know if Genie or Johnnie paid those fines?

Gene Gotti, a former Gambino captain, arrives at Brooklyn Federal Court with John Carneglia, a Gambino soldier.
They arrive for another day of their narcotics trafficking trial. April 19,1989.
On July 7,1989, Gene Gotti and John Carneglia were each sentenced to 50 years, and fined $75,000 for running heroin distribution ring.
Gene Gotti was released in September 2018 and apparently still alive and kicking at 79.
John Carneglia was released in June 2018 and is also 79 years old.
They both served 29 years.
