A Long Island family reputedly assaulted by the wife and daughter of former Gambino boss John “Junior” Gotti have sued the mother-daughter duo for $50 million.
The incident, which took place in Feb, 2024 at a high school basketball game (Locust Valley HS), resulted in assault charges for Kimberly ("Junior's" wife) and Giana ("Junior's" daughter). However, the cases against both were dismissed in Oct, 2024 on a 'technicality' per the Post's reporting.
In this more recent case, the aggrieved family [Jean & Crystal Etienne] claim Kimberly and Gianna allegedly used several epithets as well as offensive language during the exchange, this per documents from the lawsuit found in Brooklyn Federal Court records.
On the other hand, the Gottis have 'vehemently denied' using any slurs and instead have insisted that Crystal Etienne was the aggressor in the scenario, hurling insults at their son (Joe Gotti) who was playing for the opposing team.
The Gottis repeatedly rejected plea deals in the case from Nassau County prosecutors and insisted their last name is what sparked (the now-dismissed) criminal charges. Their attorney called the new lawsuit “absolute hog wash, totally frivolous and a waste of time.”
Both sets of parents have claimed they were trying to protect their respective sons from verbal abuse from the stands.
