Whether it started as a troll, doesn't mean it wouldn't be a fun idea. Could come together fairly simply. Rent a conference space for a day, get several authors to speak, couple social events in the evening, bam, we have a conference.

I’ve decided that our conference wouldn’t be complete without celebrity boxing types of matches. NY and Sonny should be the main event. Pogo/wiseguy against their haters. Then a free for all of Scott’s supporters vs his detractors. We could probably raise some good money for charity.
