Although they are mainly active on the island of Corsica since the mid-1980s, the Corsicans are still active throughout France as well as in Africa and South America where they have various interests (casinos are one).

And they are still allied with various mafia groups in Italy

Two questions:

Outside of the Gotti propaganda, was there any real fear, that any files have demonstrated, either on the part of the overall Gambino Family, OR, on the part of other Families, that Castellano would cooperate?

Secondly, is it known for certain whether Castellano knocked down Nino Gaggi from Capo - and was potentially marking him for murder as Sammy claims, or was it Gotti who knocked him from Capo, as other sources claim?

Can someone point me toward (or just tell me now, lol) an accurate breakdown of the Genovese boss, underboss, consigliere, ruling panel, etc. succession during the confusing Tier/Lombardo/Salerno/Gigante era of say 1970 to 1990?

No it's s not accurate at all, it's usual the same clichés in it. That said the movie is not bad in term of entertaining
Thanks. Entertaining or not, I almost got PTSD from "Sugartime" it was so silly so I won't be watching "Bugsy" it sounds like.
It's not as bad as these new TV shows where NOTHING is accurate except the names...

I wanna say warren beatty won a award for the movie - or maybe just nominated

They had jack dragna barking like a dog and crawling on the floor - other then that tho ......it's a good watch. I like to at least watch them all once

If u want "realistic to what happened" in real life try:
- witness to the mob (gravano movie)
- Valachi Papers
- Black Mass
- GOTTI (HBO and Travolta were pretty good)

Realistic but fictionalized but still good:
-One Deadly Road ( movie based on Anthony casso ) hard to find but a MUST SEE
- Vendetta (whitey bulger story but names were changed)

Horrible shows that should be banned:
- business of blood (rizzuto story that's horrible)
- GF of Harlem (bumpy Johnson)
Add Gravesend to Horrible Shows That Should Be Banned

Ernesto “Frank Martin” Barese - Soldier in the Gambino Family. He was deported from the US to Italy. He then resurfaced in Vancouver Canada somehow. He was identified by Joe Vallachi as a Gambino soldier.

Does anyone have any biographical information to share about him? I’m particularly interested in his involvement in Vancouver, Canada.

Is there any truth to the claim I've seen several times online that John Gotti Jr. chased John Alite out of Howard Beach (or some other such territory; it varies at times depending on the storyteller) because he was selling drugs to little kids?

Have seen this online many times, but it seems a little noble/heroic for me to buy 100%.
