In the book
Rogue Mobster, Silverman claims he was inducted into the Patriarca family in 1995 by Sonny Rizzo. However, this is easily disproven because Silverman says that Bobby Luisi drove him to and attended the ceremony. Later in the book, Silverman again states that he knew Luisi to be a Patriarca member:
I was surprised to see news stories saying that Luisi was a made guy in Philly but not New England. I knew him as being made in New England as well.
Mark Silverman with Scott M Deitche, Rogue Mobster, 262.
This is simply not true. We know from Luisi's court testimony, his book, and numerous interviews and podcast appearances that (while a proposed member) he was never inducted into the Patriarca family. It was indeed the fact that he could not get made in New England that prompted him to eventually hook up with Philadelphia and become a member of that family in 1998.
So there's no way that Luisi would have been in attendance at a Patriarca ceremony in 1995, and Silverman's claim that he personally knew Luisi to be a Patriarca member is nonsense. By extension, this also invalidates Silverman's claims about his own membership.
