In my opinion, when we learn which organized-crime group or which member of organized crime might have been responsible for hiring

1. alleged MS-13 members to kill someone in a sleepy village located about a 30 min. drive from Toronto's northwest boundary

2. one of these alleged MS-13 members to allegedly kill Francesco Del Balso in Laval, Quebec

3. up to four (4) men from Ontario to kill Moreno Gallo's daughter-in-law in Montreal, a woman who has ancestry from the Rizzutos' hometown in Sicily

When we learn why Davide Barberio of Quebec has criminal matters in Ontario that are being heard in the same Newmarket courthouse where the matters for the alleged MS-13 members are being heard, we might also have an idea whether and how the Italian underworld in one or both provinces is involved.
The trial for some of the seven individuals accused of involvement in the mistaken-idenity drive-by shooting in the Greater Toronto Area will commence in about 12 months' time. The timeline for the trial scheduling has to do with the Jordan decision deadline.

One of the seven accused, Carlos Pena Torrez, continues to make court appearances in Laval for his mistaken-idenity drive-by shooting there, where the alleged real target was Francesco Del Balso.

Ron Serio became good friends with Anthony Gerace after learning Gerace had a debt collection business and started working with him in the dect collection part of his business by processing payments. I've previously written about the long history of the Buffalo mob's connection to the collections companies in Buffalo. In Joe Bella's case the the government revealed these business are ultimately controlled by the IOC.

Additionally, Serio asked Anthony to become part of his marijuana trafficking business and negotiated the use of the docks at Gerace's cabinet warehouse to unload product that came across the Canadian border via tractor-trailers with secret compartments from Vancouver.

Over time Anthony and Serio became very close hanging out and partying together. At that time Serio was using and gambling a lot. So when people like Gerace needed product he was unable to get it for them, but those who were close to him like Gerace received the door code to his LaBraun Mansion to get what they needed.

When they hung out Anthony bragged about his "connections" referring to his uncle Joe Todaro.

I am not aware of any familial relationship with the Gerace family. Did a Quick Look at his dad and a couple of his uncles obituaries and didn’t see anything. When I get a chance I’ll do a little more digging to see if I find anything. If you don’t mind me asking what makes you wonder if he could be related to the Gerace’s?
someone told me they were related some how , but if you couldn't find it probably is not true

99 percent ? That’s pretty bad , huh ?

do you follow Me that closely? So every 9 out of 10 stories I post prove false ? Is that what you are implying ? Explain your math . And list my most impressive 1 percenters, the ones I got right ….which of those are your favorite?

My point is you would never speak to someone (such as dave , George , etc) on here (to them personally , not about them) like you do to do and the moderators wouldn’t allow it .

I really appreciate Nickle’s reporting and investigations. Your research is second to none and is an asset to the board.

And I also appreciate the skepticism from Wiseguy and Pogo. Too many mob forums turn into people taking small scraps of information and immediately jumping to conclusions without hard evidence. Reading this forum has taught me not to make any assumptions. Countless other forums took Joe Gagliano’s arrest in New Orleans with the “assassin van” as evidence the NOLA family was resurgent.

We know that Gerace is involved in organized crime. Even though it’s very likely he’s a member, we still have zero actual evidence yet that he’s a formal member of the mafia. Everything we’ve seen so far is circumstancial. It could turn out he’s anything from an associate to a street boss. Nothing would surprise me.

As Nickle said, Buffalo has never had a member turn informant. So, I think being cautious is a prudent approach. Hopefully, more info will come out during this trial.. or better yet, someone will decide to flip.
