Larry Amero is mentioned numerous times in the book. Nicknamed "Patch" because he is a fully patched 81 in the West Point charter in British Columbia, he was Rabih Alkhalil's roommate in Old Montreal a number of years ago and, up till July of last year, at the North Fraster Pretrial Centre till Alkhalil re-enacted the type of bold prison break you see only in movies and TV shows.
