Thank you Snakes. Not my problem, once its public then its free game.

Excuse me? The photo was posted by a public Facebook page (Gangster Gallery)! It was not posted originally by a private group on Facebook.

Therefor I have the right to share as I please and anyone else does as well. Its not like I went out and grabbed it without permission of a certain group or individual.

We can do better than this kind of slop.

Also, WTF is the deal with the constant posting of photos here now? This is what the Musghot section of the forum is for. Mods should move the photo posts over there.
RushStreet is a moron who should be banned at this point. A poser and a weirdo.

That photo is also from LaPietra's daughter who shared a select amount of photos in a group with the promise we would NOT share on Facebook or in public - I've shared a few of those photos of Jimmy Lapper myself in earlier threads, which all of you enjoyed - that said, I had PERMISSION.

In my case, I post photos here no one has previously seen bc Solai won't give me access to the photo section out of a personal grudge against SolarSolano, who he thinks I am even two years into posting here.

I'll continue to post old photos when I have the consent of family members bc I know people enjoy the old photos - Solai is the guy to speak to about giving me access to the photo thread.

Chicago Outfit heavyweight Jimmy "the Lapper" LaPietra.

Though, often going unnoticed due to being caught up in the shadow of his infamous brother Angelo, Jimmy "the Lapper" LaPietra was a terrifying force in his own right. Allegedly responsible for a litany of gangland slayings, Jimmy was a low-key operator who let his actions do the talking. Despite his brother getting all the attention, it was Jimmy who became the total embodiment of a Midwest gangster with a look that made the most hardened criminals nervous. Jimmy proved to be a very discreet and effective hitman with a reputation that rang bells all over the city. He eventually became one of the boss's go-to hitters for those highly sensitive jobs.

Both Angelo "the Hook" and Jimmy "the Lapper" were both extremely violent men and often went out on hits together in their younger days when they were first coming up in the Outfit. Eventually, the bosses took notice of Angelo's criminal mind and ability to earn and he began to rise through the ranks, eventually becoming the Capo of the Outfit's notorious Chinatown/26th St crew.

It would only be fitting that Angelo began to breed cold blooded killers outta his crew and before you know it, "the Hook" had a stable of sadistic mafia serial killers at his disposal. Aside from the "Wild Bunch" crew of the '70s, Angelo's Chinatown crew was the unofficial disciplinary branch of the organization, oftentimes being called upon to collect money, dish out beatings, blow up buildings, cut off fingers and limbs, and, of course, commit the occasional murder.

It seems the LaPietra brothers may have started a bit of a tradition in the Chinatown crew, by having another set of skilled hitman brothers in their crew performing a large portion of the hits for the organization, ..because they eventually passed the torch to the Calabrese brothers, "Frankie Breeze" and "Nicky Slim" Calabrese. These two would take over right where the LaPietra brothers left off, building themselves reputations of being ruthless and vicious stone cold killers.

Unfortunately, the hitman brother duo thing the Chinatown crew had going on stopped with the Calabrese brothers, as Nick Calabrese flipped to save his own ass, sending a lot of the leadership to prison. Couple that with the government's best friend, RICO, terrorizing Mafia families nationwide, and several other successful investigations the Feds have conducted over the last couple decades, and the mob now seems to be on life support.

I wondered if anyone knows who this 'Tony the Bull' is - I wondered whether that's actually Angelo 'The Bull' LaPietra who I know worked for Buccieri.

Nevermind - upon reading more, this all appeared to be a hoax - strange story.

I think his role was perhaps overblown but he was an Outfit gambling boss. Ponto was from 26th and Wentworth and was boyhood pals with Gussie Alex - I believe he worked for Alex as opposed to the bosses - not sure if he was really made or not.
Ponto appears on both the 1985 and 1993 Chicago lists and was also described as a made guy by Roselli in a discussion with Fratianno.
There is also an FBI file where he is listed as being in Vegas at the behest of Gussie Alex - not saying a made guy in Chicago was never reporting to Alex (as I think multiple made guys were somewhat below him in stature/power) - but I just wondered.

I'm always perplexed there was no mention of Ciotti/Eboli and the getaway car at Family Secrets - that is a John Kass Tribune story waiting to be written (even though he hasn't been good in 20 years).
