Nice - didn't know there were still any standalone / storefront OTBs left in the entire state. Kinda crazy that Long Island has one. Like newyorkempire said, upstate you'll find kiosks in bars, usually along with some racing forms and a few TVs showing the races. Those are cool, but I'd rather just go to the track or do it from my phone at home. When it was nice out I would walk home from my office on 59th and stop at the OTB on 2nd Ave / 70th street. I always thought that one closed due to the OTB bankruptcy, but apparently it was because of the subway construction

The rollout of legal MJ got held up for a variety of reasons. One was how they were trying to figure out the priority order of who gets licenses, in order to be 'equitable' - but I know the biggest reason was that some big player in Michigan wanted to get a NY license and was suing the state for not allowing out of state residents. That had to get escalated to the state supreme court, but that was a while ago - not sure if it's there or even resolved by now

There are zero OTB's in the five boroughs. If you want one bad enough you can find one on Long Island but at that point you might as well just go to the track.
Gotchya. in Buffalo and Rochester they have shifted models and now have OTB machines and race simulcast TVs inside sports bars. But a bunch OTBS have shut down. Downtown Buffalo, Phoenix, etc.

NYS government botched the roll out of legal weed so badly most people are still getting it from the streets.

There are only something like 10 legal dispensaries in the entire city and maybe 20-25 in the entire state.
How did they botch it?
NYC has the biggest weed market on earth and there’s only 10 spots to buy from!

Biggest problem with that was you needed to be a non binary grass fed crippled black lesbian with previous felonies to get a damn license.

Only the government could fuck up selling drugs or taking bets (Rip OTB)

Correct. But what has fucked the market up a little bit is that every smoke shop/gas station is now openly selling weed. So that has taken some of the market away from your average weed dealer. 9 times out of 10 these places are selling garbage weed so real weed smokers are still getting it from guys on the street.
Quality reigns. Whenever I grow it's basically sold while it's still on the plant. It's actually annoying, lol. It's insatiable....
Yesssir haha it’s pretty crazy too how much prices have dropped in that last few years. I used to get P’s for 22-2800 now they got for 12-1800 pretty wild. I think since weed has been legalized most places there is an abundance of bud out there.
I think Illinois is the only State that understands the BUSINESS of weed. They understand to make money you damn near need an OPEC type situation. The Cali dudes, Oregon too, they are weed nerds more than businessmen. They keep overgrowing weed, competing with each other, lowering the price per gram. Working 10 times as hard for less than half the money they should be getting.

Wish I had a knack for growing…never got into it, seems like too much of a headache. Everyone I know who grows is always disappointed at the quality after it’s trimmed and dried.

Dude blow is still huge. The whole myth that fent has stopped most users from doing coke is a lie. Still tons of money to be made if you’re stupid enough to sell it. Bud is where it’s at though.
