There was a previous investigation these guys were involved in and the Feds couldn’t pin anything on them so they picked the low hanging fruit and hit them with the tax charges. My father has owned a rebar business forever. He's been involved in rebar, post tension cables etc since as long as I can remember. Never would think of putting your business in jeopardy for a freaking boat and stuff like that. There is alot of stuff you can write off and get away with. But, this is not it. The thing about state funded jobs is they pay and you don't have to wait months for the check to clear.
