Gene Gotti had a joint operation with the Scopo's for years. It was said to be very lucrative.

Unfortunately very true

Carneglia's out too.

But they've both got 20yrs of supervised released. They get caught, it's life.

They'd be mad to get back in. The Feds love nothing more than to catch a gotti.

Anything related to loansharking that people were looking after for him, fair enough. If I’m a soldier in the family now, aside from respect for doing his sentence I wouldn’t feel I owe someone anything who was raking in money for selling heroin in the 70s-80s.
In this times where there are rats everywhere I would respect a man that spent 30 years of wis life in prison for the family.

The leadership of the family were heroin dealers

Yeah that's not gonna happen...all the families were involved in dope dealing...the consequences of ignoring the "ban" was just enforced if you got caught and that was only sometimes, see Little Pete Tambone...Gotti is getting envelopes, he had a lot of juice on the street when he went away and throughout his incarceration...

Do you happen to recall the year Tambone was being threatened, or chased, or shelved or whatever it was?
Tambone was a big drug trafficker from the 1950s along with many members of the other families.
Castellano wanted him dead and in 1982 asked the Commission the ok to kill him but end in a deadlock so Tambone was shelved and Gotti in 1986 readmitted him into the family.
Tambone died in 2001.

Think he’s got like 15 more years of supervised release, can’t see him being a captain but who knows

Re: Anything on Gene Gotti?

Nothing on him since he was released. Capeci reported around the time he was released from prison that he was in good standing with the Sicilian faction and there was an active role out there for him if he wants it.

I bet he’s happy just laying low and collecting whatever tribute money is owed to him.
