They really should have shown him getting shredded with katanas by the Yakuza in the movie like he did in real life. Missed opportunity by Scorsese. Not part of the larger story, sure, but they should have left it in anyway. :mrgreen:

Ran across this article. This Akio Kashiwagi is the Japanese "whale" who is depicted in the movie Casino, I believe. He was called KK Ichikawa in the film.
