If true, that's pathetic, and I'd imagine means the West Side no longer does any business nor associates at all with this "crew."
What's funny is that going off the article - which I am not refuting; I love Scott's column and trust/respect his track record and sources - we see that the imprisoned Genovese boss(es) bugged out when an older associate took a photo with a known rat in a local pizza parlor. Basically shelved the guy and also shelved his active Son, saying his chances of getting made are zero now. That same son took a pinch and didn't say shit, etc.
And at the same time,,, a mover and shaker the Genovese bosses apparently like, who's a nephew and cousin (?) of the people that got shelved, gave Arilotta...an even bigger and more detrimental rat... the okay to hang around their fucking social club and basically broadcast to the public at large out of there?

I wonder who, if anyone at all, from the NY Genovese that is out on the street, is actively involved with keeping up with Springfield and knows what's going on. I could easily see someone like Nigro or someone who is in prison trying to keep whatever is left in Springfield under their thumb as a hopeful income source...desperado measures... but it'd be crazy if there is a free, active made guy in NYC who is okay with what's going on up there. Maybe okay with it in the sense of "not our problem, they're cut off, fuck em" ... but not okay with like "oh, Arilotta? I never really knew him. I don't care if he films his show out of there. Calvanese is a solid guy and I'll back whatever he wants to do"
I never really thought about it much because Arilotta and that Chicky idiot are such skeevy turn offs to me that I wasn't interested in Springfield, but looking at it all now, it's kind of hilarious. What's not hilarious is how much of a scumbag Arilotta is if even only 50% of the allegations against him are true. Crusing around in a car picking up 13 year old girls, killing his wife's sister's husband over personal issues revolving around him wanting to fuck his wife's sister, etc. - pretty sick stuff. So besides him actually helping send a NY boss away to prison for life, he's personally a degenerate - and whoever is "left" in Springfield are okay with both
