Tulsa King was worth checking out when they were giving it on TV if the Sunday Night Football game got boring, but they did the whole bait and switch thing and gave us a taste on TV and want us to see the rest on Paramount Plus. I caught like an episode and a half and it wasn't bad. Wasn't anything groundbreaking but it fits the mold of the other Taylor Sheridan shows that are on Paramount right now...which are entertaining and take place in cool locales (places I normally wouldn't see or know nothing about... like Tulsa, or Montana, etc.) - but just like every other Sheridan show it gets a little hamfisted and they beat you over the head with "anti woke" writing crowbarred into it for no reason other than maybe to preach to the choir watching. Felt like Stallone was a cunt hair away from saying something like "when I went to the can 30 years ago there was just a womens room and a mens room! That's all we had! This young generation doesn't know what they're doing!" -Sheridan goes the extra mile to wedge shit like this into all of his shows, not to the detriment of anything, but it's just transparent and corny.
Anyway, wouldn't expect ground breaking LCN content with Tulsa King but it is entertaining and not bad...
