If Frank was shelved due to Casso, hit on Bobby etc then that likely occurred mid 90's. Casso was shelved around 93, Frank caught 94 (may be off slightly). It makes sense that that's the likely time Frank was also shelved (or shortly thereafter) so Frank was likely shelved 93/4-96. And still shelved in 2013. And likely at least until 2018 when John flioped. So that's around 18-23 years on the shelf. And this with Frank being out over 5 years.

What would possibly change after such a period of time?

ESPECIALLY with Bowat being taken off the shelf. If Frank was going to be taken off the shelf, surely it would've been around that time, yet up until John flipping, he was introduced to Bowat, and never Frank.

18/23 years on the shelf and Capeci saying they were going to take him off it?

And Al Armettas a Luke.
The smart thing for lastorino would be to start wholesaling drugs, put away as much as possible and then make deal w govt, give up all the murders etc and keep the money - live a nice life. Although he is old....I forgot about that. why is he sitting back and taking this for so long?? how does he earn? These morons don't understand that he can put them all away..............
Didn’t Lastarino just pass

Seems like the whole Brooklyn faction was involved with trying to remove crea from power in 93 94. Maybe he did feel betrayed by baratta but again the beef over the raos table was in the early 2000s and it literally crea going to bat for baratta so who knows

I just wonder if Baratta wasnt part of the plot to hit Crea in the early 90s with George Zappola and Gioia Jr?

I agree. This guy bowat was literally still in the loop anuff when the genovese and luchese family were beefing about the table at raos. I bet he was on the shelf for something else that got to amuso. Look at the guy Sal avellino he was on the shelf when he came home to. So I think amuso is the only one who can make that call for guys that been around since back when he was on the street. I think pennisi said avellino almost bought himself of the shelf but that probably pennisi being a hater. I bet he sent a message to vic amuso in jail he was sorry about whatever he did promised to earn and was welcomed back. Money solves alot of problems

Im suspicious of this info. Would like to see a source.
Everyone thought Crea was 'the real boss' for years until it came out Amuso has always been firmly in charge. I cant see Crea having the authority, even as acting, to shelve/unshelve a powerful member like Bowat without an order from Vic or Vics approval.
Ultimately Bowat wouldve gone to Vic if Crea had benched him and it wouldve been Vics call. So 'Crea shelving Bowat' is, bullshit, IMO. Likely coming from the same mill that had Crea the 'actual' boss. With there being no doubt Vic has always held the reigns, it had to have been his call.

It wasn’t confirmed if it was Crea though it’s likely that it was him but the reason for Bowat being shelved is unknown.DeSantis took him of the shelf after becoming the AB

Amuse despises Lastorino. It’s clear that Lastorino was not taken of the shelf because if he had been, it would have been done when DeSantis became AB as he did actually have a conversation with Frankie after becoming the AB.
Capeci is either refusing to acknowledge Pennisi’s information or just doesn’t know about it though it’s important to remember that Capeci doesn’t like Pennisi

He’s definitely been repeatedly mentioned as a Bonanno soldier and acting captain on this forum. Why do you say he’s a Lucchese?
I'm saying Capeci doesn't know his asshole from his earhole.
Yeah it’s a shame he doesn’t get all those basic well known facts correct all the time.
It really is inexcusable for a guy whos employment since the 90's has been a professional writer on the subject, has run a pay per view website, last 15.

95% of the posters here could tell you who Al's with.

And they don't get paid for it.

It's one column a week, it happens all the time and it's taking the piss.
