They immigrated to a BIL Filippo Tinervia living at 207 Johnson St, Brooklyn, NY. [The record says that was her brother, but I’m not sure] While that address doesn’t exist, there was a Philip Tinervia living at
227 Johnson Ave, Brooklyn, NY.

He was born Aug 16 1889 in Montelepre to Angelo Tinervia and Antonia DiBella. Interestingly, he was married to
Angelina Misuraca, daughter of Pietro Misuraca and Rosalina Campiona. More importantly, she was John, Art, and Pete Misuraca’s sister.
By 1925, per their daughter’s birth record, the Tinervia family was living in Belleville, NJ. In the 1930 census, they were at 13 Frederick St, Belleville, NJ. This was next door to James Misuraca, another brother.

Their time in NJ was done by 1935; they had moved to the Bay Area and were living in Santa Clara, CA. In 1940, they were in San Francisco, CA living with Peter Misuraca.

Montelepre and Giardinello are next to each other so it makes sense that these families could have known each other before moving to the US.
Angelo Speciale’s wife was from Borgetto. They were living at 66 Frederick St, Belleville, NJ. This was next door (74 Frederick St, Belleville, NJ) to future SJ Family member, Alexander Cammarata also from Borgetto. He married John Misuraca’s daughter Rose.

It would be really interesting to know if his mother was related to the DiBellas, also from Montelepre, in the Bonanno family. They also lived/were involved with Newark.
