The pizza place that was next to Campagnola was really good. I forget what it was called. A lifetime ago I'd walk home from work from 59th street and hit up the OTB and that pizza place a couple days a week. Never went to Campagnola always new it to be an old man's hangout , lots of politicians, top cops, I think even Mike Francesca hangs out in there. Really miss it up there , lot of times I'd go months without going west of 3rd avenue...with working from home now I doubt I'd even leave the neighborhood at all. Not the greatest italian food in the world but there's still a few spots, a couple from the Bronx opened a pizza place on 83rd between 1st and 2nd and they'd do basic home cooked red sauce dishes that were actually really good
