Sometimes this needs to be said. Outsider-looking-in-perceptive can miss that this is not just one or two decisions in someone’s life, it’s an enduring subculture with deep links into peoples’ families, identities, etc.

But these guys such as DeSantis and Zappola have done 18 years in prison for multiple murders and racketeering.Bowat has done 20 plus years in prison.These guys are extremely lucky to be out.They’ve done more than enough and guys like Bowat certainly are not in need of the money as he has his own table at Rao’s

You’re making my point, yea correct they don’t need the money they don’t need the risk they don’t need to be mobsters anymore buts it’s their life it’s all they know and without that recognition they’d rather be dead. A real mafiosi would rather live a day as a lion then a lifetime as a lamb.
