It was worth the 3 bucks I spent on it from Amazon I'll just leave it at that.... I liked this side of the story better because it focused more on tommy ulva and his obsession with the gotti trial as to where rob the mob focused more on the robbing of the social clubs. Two movies, same story, two completely different views. If you have an extra 3 bucks i would say rent it from Amazon or one of those places. I was able to sit the whole way through it, but I had also just taken 1mg of Xanax so that may have had something to do it with it too lol

Strange movie. Directed by Nick Sandow, the prison warden from Orange is The New Black who is a decent actor in his own right. I read an interview he did after making the movie and he said he wasn't striving for historical accuracy (pretty obvious right) but artistic license.
As an aside, Sandow said he was originally from "an Italian neighborhood in the Bronx" and is exactly my age. I was wondering if we ever crossed paths back in high school or in my days of hanging out but I can't recall him at all.

I watched it just the other night, its nothing special. I liked how they threw in the Gotti trial at the beginning of the movie, and maybe the Curtis Silwa scene added something extra to the movie even though its BS, but its still just an average movie. Sucks because Vincent Piazza was pretty good in Boardwalk Empire.

Scorsese was just an executive producer which usually means his name was just attached to give it extra buzz. I don't think he had anything to do with it otherwise .

Read the plot after I downloaded this movie, soundstoo cringey, it's the kid that plays Luciano in Boardwalk Empire an is directed by Scorcese i think but apparently it's horrific.

Okay i dont like to go all hollywood but i saw another movie, called Wannabe, that was about that same couple in rob the mob. Rose and tommy something. But in this one it claimed that he shot the guardian angel guy, sliwa(?) As well to get some credit with the mob. I really dobt like taking movies seriously but i just found it odd about them throwing in the sliwa shooting. But anyways u should check it out if u like rob the mob. Same characters but totally different spin to these "based on true events" movies.

Speaking of which, did they ever really find a list of all the members?
