So apparently Thomas Rebbie was taking care of Russell Bufalino at a federal prison hospital while Frank Sheeran was there also. So that's how they met. So at some point Sheeran recommended him to reach out to Stanfa and gave a recommendation for him around the end of August 1993. Rebbie was in the getaway car for the Baldino hit and got rid of guns/clothes/gloves/bullets. And he held on to guns and explosives for the Stanfa faction to use in the war.
Stephen Weinstein was a driver for Frank Sheeran for a bit and that's how he met Stanfa. Weinstein ends up driving the getaway car for Veasey and Gallara after the Baldino murder while Rebbie was a passenger.
So Sheeran and Stanfa definitely knew each other and had to have been pretty close for Sheeran to send guys he knew to help Stanfa in the war. So I'll mention again, Stanfa may have been a bad boss, but he definitely had good connections.
