In New England, the last hits to my knowledge took place in the early 2000's and they had Billy Angelesco and Gene Giangrande's fingerprints all over them (not literally). Patsy Squillante in 2004 (whacked because it was feared he would testify against Angelesco in the Rogers murder), Bobby Rogers in 2000, Mark Eldridge shot in the face in a crowded Somerville mob linked bar (Candelino's), and the big one Peter DeVito who Angelesco shot in front of a crowd in a Route 1 strip joint. He was acquitted of that one.
You’re right I forgot all about angelesco…they had him dead to rights on the Devito hit.. in front of tons of people in a crowded strip club, found the same shell casing in the rented Jaguar he was driving that night… mass state intelligence reports have billy being the shooter in the mucka murder also, with info saying gene was the get away driver (never knew what the believe on this) .. honestly I don’t know how billy got so lucky… it was like common knowledge he hit all these peiple and I’m sure hit more that are on the down low… you’re right I think billy even while smoking crack out of chicken bones and using himself as a pin cushion for dope, for sure is the youngest guy with the most bodies current day… shocked he got away with all of them… guessing it was the fear of his reputation.. the devito hit basically proved that, how many witnesses saw him murder devito ? With no mask or anything ?? And no one said anything ? Besides stuff like the shooter had a blonde wig and a bunch of bullshit…
I forgot about the chicken bone story!!!
Hahah!!! Yes! So fucking classic… had his little prison underlings bringing like 20 mesh laundry bags full of commissary to the dope mans cell in exchange for rock and dope… and straight had the custom modified chicken bone engineered into the perfect prison crack pipe…
It’s surprising him being a “younger, new generation guy” that he appears that getting locked up with an iv heroin habit and having to kick in jail, has not even been a passing thought to make him slow down or think twice on being reckless as fuck and like a 1 man crime wave … like the story how he heard some kid was making good $ slanging and got a new benz, and billy literally found the kid and straight up just told the kid that it’s his car now and just took the benz… I can only imagine the day to day insane shit he’s done….
I was always a little surprised that he got his button and is held in good standing and seems to be respected overall considering it was no secret he had serious substance abuse issues… I know he’s for sure not the first person made who’s an opiate addict.. I mean mark rossetti was shooting heroin forever…. I’m just curious how the older guys felt/what they thought of it…
With the opiate epidemic that’s been ravaging the country and especially the north east for the past decade, I’m sure in the 5 families that there is quite a few made opiate addicts among the 50 and younger crowd.. especially giys who hide it…
I’ve heard most the Springfield crew was/is strung out … calvanese was on methadone which obviously means he was using other shit before that… not saying it’s fact but I heard ralphie saintiello and them were basically trying to shake down that tow truck owner basically for dope money….
For some reason this has always been a topic that has interested me… cause just knowing how rampant use is just amongst common people, it has to be the same if not worse amongst made guys, I say that because I feel like people who live a criminal lifestyle are at higher risk to use drugs.. lol, would love to see a list…
