But they demoted him. I don’t think he was all around respected.

He had to be sending big envelopes to NY. Yes he want respected with other guys for a few reasons.... he wasn’t from their area, also got his button because of his dad , he wasn’t close with the Lucchese guys til after he was made.

Money makers who aren’t sociopaths don’t always stand up to a 30 year sentience. Say what you want about him being smart or not, but he’s definitely cosa nostra.
Nicky Jr was a very smart and intelligent guy from what I have heard from people that knew him personally. He is also a stand up guy , he gets shot by Skinny Joey and still stays in the life and doesn’t run. Then he takes a 30 year sentence on the chin without a peep with a wife and young children at home. He’s a stand up guy, that’s not even up for debate.

So was that rumor about Scarfo jr. Trying to take over Philly just nonsense ? If he was mostly an earner type guy it doesn’t make for him to want to violently take over Philly.

Crea makings him and then a Few years later Madonna is acting boss over him. Crea seems like he listens to everything Vic says and does it without issue. (Just like when the acting hierarchy switched few years back.) If Vic wasn’t in the picture in the last ten years who would of filled that role? Crea?

I wouldn't say that. Allot todays generation of made guys are not or have not been involved in murder...mostly because the majority of murders today lead to convictions and informants. There are not many unsolved mob hits these days. You got Frank Lagano unsolved which may or may not be tied to a DA. Larry Ricci murderer was never charged although the feds are almost certain it was Coppola and his Step son based on wiretaps. Look at the Meldish murder.. the street boss and underboss was convicted and the shooter didn't even flip. Nicodemo was busted for murder 1hr after the hit took place. See my point? Anyways Scarfo jr could have flipped at any point in his career and he hasn't. He could still cooperate to get time shaved off now that his old man is dead. And that hasn't happened either. Was he smart to get involved in Financial Fraud when heavy sentences are handed down...no. BUt hes not dumb

Taking control of a publicly traded company is impressive imo. I mean usually the suits will run to the SEC or FBI right away. I bet they were already doing something they shouldn't of been to allow Scarfo and his crew to take it over.

I suggest you do some research on Financial Corp Fraud sentences post Enron and WorldCom. These crimes draw heavy sentences then throw in LCN affiliation. Scarfo should have known he would have gotten a min of 20yrs for this. The stock fraud cases in the 90s sentences were very light. Mob made a killing off of pump and dump schemes and the sentences were pretty light. But after WorldCom and Enron the fed gov increased these sentences quite a bit.

Actually if Scarfo Jr was smart he would have known Financial fraud crimes draw very heavy sentences now. Had he committed this crime in the late 90s he would have gotten 3-5yrs. These crimes draw heavy sentences even if you are not LCN. There is a long documented history of heavy sentences after the Enron and WorldCom debackle
