Believe it may have been the NY fbi field boss that said that
Yeah, James Fox. Died back in the late 1990's.

As a judge, and now as a practicing lawyer again, Gleeson has been very critical of over prosecution and excessive sentencing. I find it a little funny considering the efforts the doj took to oppose Locascio getting out. Gotti deserved life, but not sure Locascio did based on what he did according to the evidence.

At this point he either gets paid specifically for every article he writes about gotti or he is in love with him.Theres no other reason to talk about him this much ffs hes been dead for 20 years, its one of the two.I honestly believe he probably talks about gotti to his family and friends all day

We can't expect wiretap transcripts of Bellomo every week but honestly a book review of fucking John Gotti?
What is it with this guy and fucking Gotti?

He should honestly resort to opinion pieces at this stage.

Guys also like 80 been doing this for a million years and the mob isn't very interesting these days. Probably doesn't really care about new sources or bs gambling charges.

Jerry comes out with what, maybe 50 articles a year? Maybe 10 of those he'll come with some good info. Sometimes really good. The rest is like this week.

Yup. I don't think Jerry had enough info to write about the Genovese indictment yet. I wouldn't write him off just yet though - he probably has just as much info as we do about it. GL gets a lot of info from lawyers... I'd give it another week or two; lawyers for some of the accused will definitely pass info on to Capeci and we'll get that via GL over the next couple weeks. Because of how weak the nature of the case is (gambling) I bet it'll take an interesting turn down the road and we'll get wind of that from Capeci (through the lawyers).

Still though, instead of info about Gleeson and the Gotti trial(s) ... which frankly I really don't ever want to hear about again for the rest of my life... he could have at least wrote a little blip about the fact that there WAS a Genovese indictment and let us know there will be more info coming. At least summarize the indictment, throw in a little speculation, give some background info on the defendants, give a recap of Basalmo's mob career, at least SOMETHING to tide us over until he gets more info. Even writing about that old 1970s Yonkers/Bronx bar article that was linked in the Genovese thread, and how that ties into the defendants today, would be more interesting than talking about John fucking Gleeson.
