I think Lou was still in HS or College when this list was written. I suspect its from the mid 70s. Lous was around DiGilio in the mid 80s. He was born in 59 went to college after HS not sure if he graduated or not. etc

He went against Genovese leadership and didnt take a plea deal in a case him and several others tied to unions the Westside controlled...he represented himself and was acquitted while the others were convicted...the Genovese lost control of a major union (possibly on the docks) and I think the Gambinos took hold...this and the fact the leadership didnt like the attention from the case brought caused the order for DiGilio to go...
Thanks, It makes sense.
Larry Ricci apparently wasn't a student of history.
Apparently he wasn’t because he died for the same reason, but I read other reasons as well such as:
Him trying to murder the Philly administration in order to place one of his associates As boss and take over the family, another one was he was trying to take over the Jersey Crew. Don’t know if these are accurate but this was what I read/watched on youtube
I'd say Tino Fuimara played a role in both murders being sanctioned...

This is great. Helps to really illustrate how a guy who was a soldier could be “boss” of an entire gang and criminal network.

Some of the newspapers of the time reported him as a Captain but I don't think he ever rose above Soldier.

Are these all associates, and what was DiGilio's rank at this time?
