I mean they been in prison for a long long time.
I worked in govt. In the military. Spent all practically all my 20s serving. I'm saying that because I am the least anti govt Mob fanboy there is. But why is so bad to release them? There is far worse that get released in similar circumstances and as far as I know some don't re offend. So whats the beef?
It doesn't matter if they don't pose a threat to society or if they're sick. It's the principle that if you do the crime then you do the time. Justice is life for life - it's a moral principle that goes back to the Bible. If the death penalty is removed as an option then it should be life in prison, and life should mean life.
I understand. What are the guidelines for the justice dept and or first step act for someone getting released? This forum is particular on facts. Who was a captain when who was made in 1991 not 1990 this forum strives on sticking to the facts. But in these cases were not looking at the protocols/guidelines/rules on how the justice dept weights early or compassionate release, we are using our opinions/beliefs/what the guy got away with/personality etc.

While we’re at it we can argue about Buffalo also as we’ve had both of these conversations fifty times over the past couple of months

Yeah Manna has killed a hell of a lot more people than Berkowitz ever did.

dont' waste your breath on these two (2) assholes - they are where they belong until their last breath. If you have so much concern about letting them out - why don;t you volunteer at some prison re-entry program instead of your keyboard beer balls!

Manna is 92 years old with a long list of health problems and he’s been in federal prison for about over 30 years now if I remember correctly. He doesn’t pose any risk and for the crimes that he has committed, I think he has paid his debt to society.

So when David Berkowitz and Gary Ridgeway get old enough where they are no longer physically capable of gunning down young couples parked in cars or strangling prostitutes we should let them out too?

Those are crimes of a sadistic nature.I am not saying that LCN murders are not sadistic but I am saying the sexual nature of their crimes makes it a lot worse. Some of them are sadists.I don’t know much about the 2 names u mentioned but I would assume they actually enjoyed murdering. They are classed as serial killers.

Who is crying to let them out?

Also, how long has Mikey Nose been on the street total in the last twenty years?

Philly: All the Scarfo era guys went down for multiple murders in the 1980s and were all out by the 2010s.

Lucchese: DeSantis, Lastorino, Zappola, Papagni, Avellino, Barratta, Federico, etc all went down for murder in the 1990s and are all back on the street. Most are still committing crimes.

Countless other examples like Mikey Mancuso who killed his wife in the 1980s, got out by the 1990s, did another murder and did less than 15 years and is now back on the street committing more crime. Ditto for Lorenzo Mannino.

And you guys are crying that we should let more of these scumbags out.
