Absolutely . I'd say there's a 1% chance they do anything else. Scorscia is a made guy now so his obligations are different than the other kid's, but I'd guess that's not going to stop the other kid either. Scorscia also, allegedly, has a lot of money out on the street and a quasi-legit business he built up to work hand in hand with his loansharking activities. He seems like the kind of guy who was doing well for himself in that life and has no reason to stop now, just because he had to goto prison for a couple of years. If he stays away from serious violence and anything crazy, and avoids getting involved with the family politics, he could probably just continue this cycle for the rest of his life

This guy was one of the most violent people in the indictement. Beating people his father told him too and going so far as to name drop his father in public,

This is not a man that is going to be a future benefit to society

Why not? He’s on track for a masters and could easily go into legitimate business. Maybe this case was what he needed to get serious about having a future.

Why not? I mean we've seen guys more commited to the life try and go straight before. He's just a kid
Just my opinion but I’m the same age as him and just judging off all the info I’ve read about him and this case, he seemed pretty committed. Not to mention he was actually doing pretty well in the life. He lives in states island where his father most likely has a lot of respect. I bet he gets out and tries to get his button lol
Yeah your probably right he will. But he seems smart enough to get a degree he can go off do well in a different socio-economic setting based his education. I'm 2 or 3 yrs older then him and I graduated college(finance degree in Georgia state) after joining the army to go to school for free all to come home to join my fathers construction company and after 2 yrs of working I find out he sold a big chunk of it to someone else and didn't tell me till recently, despite working my balls off in the cold in Conn. .. there's more to it which costs me financially but hey I'm just going to eat it and move on... like I said someone don't learn to later in life lol. Not to mention my home is next door to my fathers...
I guess I have a different perspective
What was your MOS? What unit were you in?

No offense Tony but since when is a 28 year old ‘just a kid’ ? What age do you have to be to qualify as an adult these days, 30?
I mean kid in the sense that he's not fully mature yet in his thinking about what the right thing to do is... do I follow my dad down this path? Or do I stay straight?
He seemed to do right before his dad came around then when his dad came around for the first time in his life he began getting in trouble, now his dad is gone again and he's going down the right path it seems. This is the first time he's had any real consequences in being involved with his father. Maybe being in jail for the first time, court, publicity maybe all that was intimidating for him...
When it's your family it's not always easy to just walk away. It's not a friendship. I feel like he has a better chance of going straight then some. That's my opinion
