There's a third book. It's called [i]The Last Dance[/i], written by an ex-Chicago cop who attended the trial and knew a lot of the defendants names James Jack. This book and Coen's book focus on the trial. Frank Calabrese's book gives more background information.

Just had some drinks with Frank Jr last week in Vegas. Nice guy. We talked about how we run our respective mob tours (mine is walking, his is bus-based)

Jeff Coen's is more of a journalistic work, covering the case as a whole. Frank Calabrese, Jr.'s is from a "street" perspective as he was a cooperator and related to both the star government witness and one of the defendants (both made guys). I would recommend starting with Coen's and then reading Frank Jr's but both are recommended.
