Eboli have you any more info on Doto jr ive looked and cant seem to find much.
He's a bit like Paulie Walnuts - first, he was in the army, then he was in the can.
He's not an intriguing figure, like most kids of legendary mobsters that decide to follow up in their father's footsteps. Here are my bullet notes on him:

- born in 1933
- lived most of his life in Fort Lee and Palisades Park, Bergen County
- enlisted in the army before his father was deported and honorably discharged
- 'worked' as a bank robber, truck hijacker, enforcer early on
- married a non-Italian woman in the 1960s
- according to Joe Zicarelli, Doto Jr. was groomed for an important position in LCN, but it didn't pan out
- indicted in 1975 for gambling, loansharking, and bribing a cop
- made soon after the books were opened in the 1970s in the crew of Peter LaPlaca and Lou Gatto afterward
- indicted in 1985 as the mastermind of a multi-million burglary ring
- active throughout NJ: Bergen, Morris, Camden, Rockland, Ocean counties
- some gambling operations in NY
- spent over 15 years in the can

Posted his 1975 mugshot in the mugshot section.
Many thanks eboli

This is the known members of the Boiardo crew from 1951 to 1981 when Richie the boot stepped down.

Possible members, Angelo Chieppa, and Thomas DePhillips. Three made members transferred to Jerry Catena crew, first names only Angelo, Jimmy, and Vincent.
Furio, you ever wonder his info is so specific? It’s cause he makes it up. Go ahead and ask him for sources. He can’t provide any.

Jerry Catena took over the Moretti crew after the latter's death, then in 1957, Boiardo took it over after Catena got bumped to UB. In the early 1960s, likely late 1961 or early 1962, the Genovese bosses split the regime. Boiardo remained captain over his territories, DeCarlo became a captain, and Eugene Catena inherited the original Moretti Passaic territories + whatever Eugene had in Essex and Bergen counties. Tino Fiumara rose in Catena's regime, although at that point, Catena was already dead, and Peter LaPlaca was the captain. Carmine Battaglia's close association with Jerry Catena confused some informants regarding his status.

Bob Delaney, a NJ state trooper who went undercover to infiltrate the mob, encountered his son and talked about him in his book. When he went out to dinner one time, Adonis paid for The Godfather theme to be played on repeat and boasted that he had seen Part I and Part II heaps of times. Delaney presumed this was also an intimidation tactic towards the owner of the restaurant.

Adonis bet Delaney that he would win in a game of softball and he did. Delaney had to shout him dinner at a nice restaurant.

Of Adonis, Delaney said he "had a fun loving personality and was easy to be around".

There's a photo floating around the web of him and Tino Fiumara walking together. It's from Delaney's book.

Thanks Furio. If this is complete, assuming Chase's cousin was indeed made (and by 83), and "Joe" isn't a nickname for another name, it should be either:
Joseph Zarra (b.1929), Joseph Doto Jr (b.1933 - Fort Lee), Joseph Polverino (b.1914 - Fairfield) or Joseph Tortorici (b.1909 - Clifton)

Zarra died in '94, I think Polverino was with Gyp DeCarlo (plus he's way older although this doesn't rule him out I guess), Tortorci was dead by '77 and part of the East Harlem crew, leaving Joe Doto Jr. Was this Joe Adonis' son?

Its perhaps someone else.

Heard another interview where he mentions this guy's name was Joe. "Joe Boubette" (sp), probably a nickname?
