It's common knowledge that Jackie DiNorscio wasn't made. The only one who apparently isn't aware of this is you. You were looking to troll, because Rooster is off his meds again, and you overstepped yet again. Face it, almost every time you post, you demonstrate how much you don't know about the mob. You need to stay at the little kid's table where you belong.
Wiseguy- have you ever been to ny and spent any time in the company of any of these guys? You discount primary sources (who could be lying but why?)and subscribe only to conteents if articles, FBI reports and god knows what else. LE reports are often inaccurate or deliberate misinformation. Reading books from lying rats are iffy. There is no way to be certain of anything in bs world of mafia. state your opinion based on the sources avail to you but don't discredit a neighborhood guy simply bc some LE report says so. i come to Deer Valley twice a year and have watched docs on mormons in Utah, spoken to several, read some books etc. Does that qualify me to make absolute statements about the Mormon community in areas like Sandy etc? Of course not. the bullsshit that the govt and informers put out there sshoudl be viewed w healthy degree of skepticism. dont assail someone who says they know joey the blade or carmine the creep. could be bullshsit but oftentimes not.
So you're yelling me I should give more credibility to nameless sources on the internet (because of their zipcode) than the feds or former mob figures?

And when it comes to the subject of DiNorscio, he was always identified across the board as an associate and never a made guy. That we're even having this conversation (again), based on him, is ridiculous.

No. Like some of those other corny names (“Big Tuna”, “Joey Doves”), this was a media/LE creation. From everything I’ve seen people just called him “Jack” or “Jackie”.
Thanks Tony.

I think of all the corny media nicknames it might be the worst given its total failure as a descriptor. At least the others were just silly rather than the opposite of who they attempted to describe.

Where in Sicily were the Bonadonnas from the roller rink from?

Phil Bonadonna’s dad, Filippo Bonadonna St, was from Mezzojuso (his mother, Frances Baratta, was probably of mainland heritage). It’s interesting because it’s part of the same eastern/interior Palermo province area that we see many early Genovese members with ancestry from (eg, Mezzojuso is across the Ficuzza Forest from Corleone). Bonadonna Sr worked as a plasterer, which is also notable given that the Corleonese mafia network in NYC was heavily involved in the plastering and lathing industry.

It’s likely he was under Joe DeSimone before becoming acting Consigliere then Consigliere and being shelved for stealing money.

Unconfirmed word on street he was addicted to oxy and basically doing anything for money.

Vic Amuso (Colombo-Lucchese), Simone Esposito (DeCavalcante-Bonanno), John Cerrella (Genovese-Lucchese), Frank DiPietro (Lucchese-Genovese), Al Embarrato (Genovese-Bonanno), Angelo Lapi (Bonanno-Genovese)

You can do a search and find the thread where we spoke of guys who were made by one family and got transferred to another.

Does anyone know who Tom Lo Lomonte was married to?

Books often describe as being single, but the 1915 census before his death shows him living with his wife and two kids - 4yo and just born (the census doesn't record the wife's name.) It's definitely him in the census, as his mother confirmed his address when she was later in court. His entry in coroner's journal also marks him as married.

Frank Abbatemarco. While it's not without some speculation, I believe the general consensus is that Joseph Peraino Sr. and Jr. were also targeted for murder for the same reason.
Apologies, I misunderstood this question to mean members getting killed for withholding money/refusing to kick up, as per your previous post. Money, and refusal to kick it up or suspicions of withholding it, is why I understand Abbatemarco and the Perainos were targeted for murder.

B. wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 2:15 pm With not "kicking up" or stealing, Bill Bonanno said there was a rule that a member can't be killed for that. He said that was why Salvatore Mangiaracina was instead shelved and forced to leave the US. Mangiaracina was ultimately killed for returning to NYC without permission but not for stealing.

I'm sure guys have been killed for financial infractions but the Family would need to find or invent another justification and typically the kind of guy who steals from the Family is probably fucking up in other ways, i.e. DiBono or Mangiaracina.

People have a perception that tons of murders are for financial infractions but they aren't, at least not directly.
Now that’s interesting, to let him go back to his home country. You wronged us but we’ll make it right by allowing you to be banished and never return; but kill him because he returned without permission. I feel like I hear guys returning here after being shelved or deported fairly often. It makes me wonder if Sicily was really that dry in terms of activities back then or if some guys entire families moved to the U.S. leaving them no choice but to return. That actually reminds me of Mikey scars saying he has no relatives in Sicily, which really surprised me.

These were the two bondsmen for Antonio 'Impolluzzo''s first offence, before he killed Tom Lo Monte.

Just wondering if they ring any bells for anyone?

Impelluso was from Castrofilippo in Agrigento according to the May 2014 Informer and Colletti is a heavily Agrigentino name so he may have been a paesan or from the province at least. Never heard of him though.

Interesting that both the LoMonte brothers were killed by Agrigentini, but it makes sense given they were at war with D'Aquila whose Family included the majority of NYC Agrigentini.
Interesting, thank you. I think you're right, probably just family friends who had enough cash on hand to bail him out.
