Before Massino was made he borrowed $9k off a guy who they were going to clip. I wonder how often this has happened. Especially in situations like the Colombo War when guys were switching sides. Rack up a massive debt, switch sides, and hope your guy gets hit
The actor who played the guy who borrowed money off Vito before he got clipped was busted in real life here in North Jersey for selling some type of roofies lol Ron Castellano . He owns bodybuilding supplement stores here in Jersey (Shocking)

That's crazy. I knew a bodybuilder that used to be really into G . His tolerance was huge. Apparently it gives you better sleep to help facilitate muscle growth. Bodybuilders are always into some weird shit and are usually one or two small steps removed from using/selling hard drugs, in my experience. It's funny

Wasn't there a bodybuilder Castellano from NJ who was a Bonnano (??) or Gambino associate that ended up being a rat? Huge scumbag who always had gambling debts. They used to post about him on the RD forum I remember... some of those Jersey guys. Is this Sopranos guy the same person???

if i were to venture a guess, joe bilotti, joe watts and their capo whoever the hell that was since joe is now dead leaving 174 grandchildren in staten island and jersey. the only ones who would know definitively would be a made guy or Joe Watts and I doubt either will be posting. Im sure some moron cop on task force would say he knows but dont. just like it used to mean something to be a made guy, in the 60's very bright guys were feds. now it's just community college educated tards that get an online law degree

Some good insight - but is this loan book still active today ? Who has inherited it ? Just think about how much juice it generated over the past 3 1/2 decades if it is still functioning !

But yeah, I'm guessing it really is like that. Records are kept somewhere, even if it's not central and info is scattered between crew members, but the guy who takes over gets his arms around it, sends people to call the debtors in, and lets them know payments continue to him. I'm sure stuff gets lost in translation but i bet these guys really have a sick, uncanny ability to put a loan book back together after a guy dies or flips and get decent handle on the money

You hit the nail on the head. Some loans will slip thru the cracks but they put enough of it back together for that not to matter especially considering the fact it’s basically free money.
The question I have is how much money did Joe Watts owe Tommy when they killed him?

ahh yeah exactly. That makes a lot of sense. Watts was probably working that book for years himself and had the best shot at taking it over with the least amount of lossage. He was probably collecting for Paul et. al. personally and knew who was where.

Didnt Billotti's brother still remain involved and relevant / influential himself? The book didn't go to the brother? I thought after Tommy got killed, they went out of their way to do right by his brother even beyond just not clipping him too

Just like how Lou Vallario supposedly inherited Sammy's multi million dollar book after Sammy flipped lol.
