Rudy Izzi
Frank Fresca (Staten Island restaurant owner, was under protection of bonanno crew)

Not killings but attempted murders:

George DeCicco
Joe Generoso (Staten Island bakery owner)
Michael Catapano did Fresca
Care to elaborate?
Yeah I want to hear that. I've never heard of the Colombos being connected to that.

Details Catapano as an attacker who originally tried to kill
him before for sleeping with his wife.

What happened to Sally Burns Granello? I think that he was a friend of Vito Genovese according to the article below who ended up being murdered.

I know this doesn’t count as it’s solved but I’ve always been fascinated by the Meldish hit. They did a 80s style hit in 2013. I wish londonio would’ve flipped so we could’ve gotten the fool scoop of how the hit went down

Also very interested in the 2011 killing of Christopher Castellano as they have Genovese guys on tapes discussing why he got whacked but no suspects

For the most low key family, the Genovese have a lot of hits.

Wiseguy wrote: Mon Jun 28, 2021 10:42 am Good catch. Totally spaced those.

September 2017 - Carmine Carini Jr. (son of Gambino associate Carmine Carini) beaten to death, dumped in river (by Louie and Vincent Iacono)
July 2018 - Salvatore Zottola (son of Bonanno associate Anthony Zottola) shot and wounded. (personal, hit ordered by brother)
October 2018 - Bonanno associate Anthony Zottola shot and killed. (personal, hit ordered by brother)
October 2018 - Lucchese associate Vincent Zito shot and killed (by Gambino associate Anthony Pandrella)
Thanks a lot man I for the life of me could not remember any of their names. Used to be able to memorize every DeMeo crew hit or St. Valentine's Day massacre victim with no effort but now that's in the past lol, getting old.

A lot of people say that hits like these and the Cali hit do not "count" as mob hits but I disagree; these are murders that would not have happened if these guys weren't part of that violent world (even Cali would still be alive today if he weren't a notorious mob boss and therefore came to the attention of a nutjob). Maybe it would be a good idea to just use an umbrella term like "mob-linked killings and attempted killings."
I think the distinction they're making is many of them are more of a personal nature than official crime family business.

Ivan wrote: Mon Jun 28, 2021 10:28 am Wiseguy that is an awesome list. I would add the guy that got whacked at a McDonalds, his son who got shot up and survived on camera, the guy who got dumped in the river, and the loan shark who was shot in the head and first suspected to be a suicide, all toward the end of the decade.

Wiseguy that is an awesome list. I would add the guy that got whacked at a McDonalds, his son who got shot up and survived on camera, the guy who got dumped in the river, and the loan shark who was shot in the head and first suspected to be a suicide, all toward the end of the decade. (I can't remember the names of any of those guys, lol.) These weren't straightforward mob hits but they were mob-linked guys and part of the general miasma of violence that surrounds these people, and if you've got the Cali hit on there you might as well include them.

As far as formal mob hits go, I can't help but wonder if there wasn't some kind of moratorium put in place in about 2013 similar to the one after the Colombo War, and we just don't know about it.
