Yep, thanks to a tip from Flemmi.

Thanks and I thought that it was Flemmi who offered the tip to the FBI.

According to this article it was Connolly who told Flemmi that Anthony St. Laurent was a long term CI working for the government.

He took a bribe from Whitey in order to falsely inflate his informant status so, yes, he was corrupt.
He also tipped off Whitey on who was informing on him which led to a couple of murders.

Totally corrupted. But, I read years prior his murder conviction over-turned. Oft-wondered how he remained in prison.
