Henry Tamelo allegedly had a chance to get out of jail for the Deagan murder he didn't commit, but he needed 150k to pay some gov't official. Zannino and Anguilo refused to chip in because he was a RI guy and not a Boston guy. Tamelo died in jail. I heard he had dementia too but that isn't mentioned. Thats pretty shitty though, especially when had he lived he would have eventually been released.
That the murder Peter Limone got out on? Crooked FBI agents or something. I'm just going off memory but I could've swore Tamelo and Limone both were convicted of that.
Peter Limone, Henry Tameleo, Joseph Salvati, Louis Greco, and Ronald Cassesso were all convicted of the murder of Edward "Teddy" Deegan. They were all originally sentenced to death. Tameleo, Greco, and Cassesso died in prison. Salvati was released in 1997 and Limone was released in 2001.
