You're right on John Chiarello and Accursio Marinelli, both were under Nino Gaggi as of the late 1970s.
Re locations, the families (Chiarello/Marinelli) started out on Elizabeth St in Little Italy and then went on to Brooklyn in the 1920s. As of 1928 the Chiarellos were living in Bath Beach and the Marinellis in Dyker Heights. Chiarello married one of the DeCicco sisters, another family that went from lower Manhattan to Brooklyn in the 1920s. By the mid-1960s both of these guys were in Staten Island.
By the way if I don't respond to a post it's usually because I don't have the info being asked and don't want to make a lot of posts that just say 'sorry, don't know'.
