Holy crap, I've been busy with work and such but this will keep me occupied this weekend. Many thanks guys.

Remember when I got the Youngstown: Still Standing documentary and went through and screen capped and posted everything? Legendary.

Here it is for posterity: http://www.gangsterbb.net/threads/ubbth ... ype=thread

I'm not in Ohio anymore (ran away to Las Vegas a few years back) but I'll be back in Dublin and the Ohio River Valley in the spring.

I'm sure you know that Henry introduced me to Paul and I was invited to his house. We also had dinner at the Esquire Club in Wheeling. First rate ;)
Yes, you had discussed that with me. Good stuff.
Occasionally Paul would come to Pittsburgh and meet with a very big time Pittsburgh fellow who bet big money with him at The Hollywood Social Club.
Paul was very close to the Providence, RI faction of the Patriarca Family. Paul also laid a large portion of his action off to Joseph “Demus” Covello, made member of the Gambino Family’s New Jersey Faction. Covello was Godfather to Paul’s daughter...Joey Naples was Godfather to Paul’s other daughter.
The guy Paul booked in Pittsburgh was big, big, big!
Rooney is who I’m thinking of. When they raided Paul’s house, he had Gambling records with Rooney‘s name all over it.
Not Old Man Art ;)

Chuck DiNardo was the Steward of the Hollywood Social club in the mid 1970’s. Who are you referring to?

The 2 part series with Bert is actually pretty good.

@FOH- FBI Agent John Stoll gave some colorful stories and info. It’s produced by Mahoning County Historical Society. Their archives are unreal, well documented. Check it out, both parts. Gotta give credit to Bertram for this one.
You should consider doing a documentary. Not sure a podcast would have lasting value. Comes a point of diminishing returns. I'm learning video editing software, perhaps I can help you with that down the road. But you, you're better at getting the locals to talk than I am, it's your fucking local accent which would be great for a doc. No NY bullshit, this is an Ohio River Valley affair. Interviews with YT and surrounding areas would be good. Think on it and I'll help however I can. You have my full support, compaesan.

I'm also down to do some charts, but we need documented sources. Regarding the 60's I read the files and have my own interpretations. The informants were clearly not members and that makes a difference. It's like Gene Borrello berating Franzese for using the term Caporegime because no one used it around him because he wasn't a member. We then have John Pennisi, an amico nos, correcting and stating for the record that it was indeed used. That type of thing. It's their organization and outsiders, like us or even former associates don't really have an in. It's my thing with Scott Burnstein who can name off every Detroit operative and their background in ways that I cannot, I'll never surpass him in Detroit knowledge. But I still know there wasn't 17 capos in 1960. We all have different approaches and strong points (and weak points). Our weak points shouldn't exclude us, those who don't have an ego, just a strong passion passion towards this subject.

Regarding the early stuff, I'd still like to sit on that and avoid certain words and terms, but we'll talk and catch up soon. In the end, we'll all get credit. Salut.
Thanks CC. As always, your dedication and willingness to help is appreciated.

If a documentary happens, of course you’d be contacted. As would the children of the subjects. I posted this because the 2 part documentary is fantastic. Stoll gives great insight on Lenny. They “muted” the answers to the questions on the investigation of the Joey Naples murder but it’s obvious they are talking about the Dinsio brothers. You should tune in.
