I think Sonny could have met Lucky. This shouldn't be a big issue. I'm sure as a boss Lucky was introduced to a lot of local boys. Capone, however, I seriously doubt. Sonny was known to exaggerate and make things up.

Haven't checked out what Michael said about his father meeting Luciano, but Sonny said himself that he was running the largest craps game in New York in 1935 when he was 18. if that's true it's plausible he could have met Luciano.

Historically speaking, in the 20s and 30s a guy being in his teens would not disqualify him from participating in gangland action. May of these kids grew up in the streets. I'm not saying Sonny met Capone and Luciano but he was already near a legend in the street when he went to the can in the 60's. Do you think he became a legend by waiting until he turned 20 to start committing crimes? Do you think he became a legend with 50 bodies to his name because he was clipping nobodies for the thrill of it? I wouldn't be surprised for one minute that Sonny's career started very, very early and involved formative figures from the early years of OC.

The problem was that he was very young, it is difficult to believe that a 19 year old associate of the Profaci family would meet the head of the Lucianio family, at most I believe he only saw Luciano and heard about him.

Sonny Franzese was born in 1917 and Capone went to jail in 1931 and Luciano in 1936. In both cases he was too young.

Don't think so. Capone left NY in 1919 and I believe only returned briefly in 1925 when Franzese was only a little kid.

He says that in this podcast, besides saying that Sonny said that the guys from NYC said that Capone ran away from there, the guys from NYC thought badly of Capone? even though Sonny didn't know Capone he may have heard something like that.

Lansky I think he probably even met, more Luciano and Capone I think he only heard about it, at most he saw Luciano in the mid-30s when he was an associate. Sonny was very old and met a lot of people, but guys like Luciano and Capone I think are very unlikely.
