His blog is kind of interesting. Seems to be a lot more content about past Dragna and Milano guys but the fact that more of this wasn't in his book makes me wonder if he's just taking cookie cutter info and placing himself into some stories the way all these new YouTube mobsters do.
You're missing out on some good stuff. There's a lot of interesting background with the Colombians and the Colombian connections. Those Avila's restaurants were very big in Orange County back in the day, and so was the cocaine. Then there's the story of the "Godmother" Griselda Blanco moving to Irvine until she was captured. In a period of about ten years she was responsible for more bodies dropping than probably the entire history of the Bonanno Family.

one would think they'd be in West Hollywood, Beverly HIlls , Brentwood Santa Monica as this is where there the bookies are killing it and have been for years--- one bookie lives in Pacific PAlisades that is a huge lay off guy. I rememb.er a bunch of wanna be old men with upstate new york accents used to hang out in the cafe section at bristol farms next to Chasens. why did they live in West Covina and all these out of the way places

They tried shaking down porn companies in the 1970s and it just resulted in cases against them. From the 70s thru the 90s they never had the muscle to really extort anything. Maybe on a small scale but that's all.

I would have thought from growing up here that the base for them should have been around the San Fernando valley . Where caci was. Mike Esposito was also in this area... just especially in the 70’s, the literally whole entire pornography business was centered around San Fernando valley... I feel like they should have focused on that area and it would have benefited them a ton, they could have shook down like a hundred porn companies, sold drugs to all the people in the industry, loans, etc.. this is just coming from someone who grew up in the Los angles area.
According to Kenny "Kenji" Gallo in the 70s/80s/90s they were extorting porn companies.

What about African American gangs, Armenian gangs or Hells Angels. I don't believe they pay street tax to La Eme.
Armenians fall under the Mexican mafia...
That's not entirely true, there's a significant movement of Anti-Sureno Armenians plus a lot of Armenians are just involved in OC in LA without being tied to eme
I was speaking on guys from apX3 for the most part.... and yeah I know 2 friends doing fed time right now who weren’t tied to any surenos, they fucked with some Russians.. but also when I was around and issues came home, one ran to an Armenian from Hollywood 18st, while the other one ran to guys from Armenian power... lol it was about one guy trying to set the other one up to steal his maybach, which he acquired as stolen, lol...

Kenji has an ego, as you know, but the book is worth a read.

What about Lenny Montana, Jr.? He is still alive and runs Enzo's Pizzeria in Westwood (L.A.) by UCLA.

Not to rehash discussions we've all had over the years here and on RD, but it is alleged that Montana was made by Pete Milano in the 90's. Those of you who still communicate with Kenji can get his take on that, if you really care.
Kenji said Paduano wasn't made. I don't think Lenny Montana was either.

What do you mean by "under the Mexican mafia". Are they allies or LA eme is extorting Armenian gangs?
Sorry that was kind of all over the place .. it could take days to get fully in depth. But in short when you asked is Armenian power gang allies of la eme or getting extorted by la eme. Lol the answer is both. Every south California street gang pays a Tax to the eme but at the same time they also all basically fall under associates of eme..

I don’t know how familiar you are with California Hispanic gangs... all “surenos” which are Mexican street gangs from Bakersfield all the way down to the San Diego/Mexico border all fall under the control of the Mexican mafia.. besides a few hoods over the years ( the maravilla gangs, opal street, Lowell street) basically every single Hispanic street gang from Bakersfield to the Mexican border pays a street tax (from drug sales) to the Mexican mafia... there’s different made members who control different parts of Los Angeles and different towns and such... all these gangs while writing their graffiti they leave a “13” or a “X3” which stands for the 13th letter in the alphabet which is “M” or “eme” which refers to the Mexican mafia... now for whatever reason when Armenian power gang started in Los Angeles for some reason they adopted the “13” and pay taxes to the mafia... the whole reason like 100 made members who are locked down in prison (most for life) can control half the state of California’s street gangs from behind bars, is that they know that if you’re an active gangster that sooner or later you’re going to end up in prison.. where they run the show.. so fall in line on the street, then when you get to state prison, every single Mexican gang south of Bakersfield are all united, your biggest rival gang in the streets who could have killed multiple od your friends, you have to squash all of that in prison and become one.. they’re considered “southerners” in prison or SUR, southern United raza, and they are the foot soldiers for the Mexican mafia members who are calling the shots in prison...
