David Salvo is literally working his restaurant in the kitchen everyday actually doing the grunt end of cooking and food prep in the kitchen that 99.9% of the restraunts around here farm out to the Mexican cooks/ food preps.
I took my Mother to David’s restaurant Saltwater for Mother’s Day and he was there in the kitchen working his balls off cooking on a Sunday, Mother’s Day. Dave came out from the kitchen on a break and talked to me and my Mother for awhile, nice guy. I don’t know anything at all about the other Salvo brother Christian. Dave is a really great cook that puts hours upon hours into his restaurant.
Saltwater actually finally got a liquor license this summer, which was great. It was BYOB previously.
If any of you guys go there, the gnocchi is to absolutely fucking die for. I heard the pizza is good too but I’ve still never ordered it cuz I always end up gettin the same Gnocchi dish in a blush sauce with Crab, Bangin’! Saltwater is a great restaurant.... End of my rant
