Yeah I always wondered the same, seems odd that the are not some camorra cells operating in some capacity at least in the North East. I cant find it now but i remeber reading somewhere that they had some presence in California.

Due to the smaller size of most camorra clans, I have always wondered if it is possible that there could be more clans than lcn families in the US. Crews with 10-15 guys all inter-related can fly under the radar far better than families of 100+. Pure speculation obviously, but a possibility worth considering.

I think unless they've been groomed really well, most of the camorra members that operate abroad are likely to be older or middle aged with experience. Granted these kids start doing heavy work in their teens but I can't imagine they would have the discipline needed to operate so far away from their neighborhoods.

Yeah i think unlike Cosa Nostra and Ndrangehta the Camorra in Napoli is not one unifed organization by any means. Like I said there are more organizaed, structure Camorra groups and then some that seem nothing more then gangs.

If there's anything, it's most likely confined to the retail fashion markets.. Jean's, jackets, Shoes, belts...ect..

Thanks for link. The Camorra in Napoli is nuts. I read somewhere that a lot was made of these baby gangsters in Napoli but they are smoke screen for older seasoned guys. Who knows. I believe the Camorra groups outside of Napoli in Caserta and Benvento regions are more structured, secretive and generally more similar to Cosa Nostra. Actually at one point I believe some of the Camorra clans actually were part of Sicilian Cosa Nostra.
It makes sense, I believe that if Camorra only focuses on baby gangsters, we will have bosses aged 20 and dying at 25, and thus creating a succession of bosses in a few years, but I believe that despite being disorganized, Camorra is still very powerful .

Yeah, makes sense I guess as far as the obvious Scilian connections to US wiseguys and level of international narcotics trafficking done by Ndrangheta and the who Canada connection.

AM434 wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 5:02 pm Thanks interesting video. Yeah I did read that before about 200 members being USA, that seems like a pretty good amount. You would think they would interact with US LCN. Similar to what we’ve seen with Ndrangheta members recently interacting with LCN in New York in drug trade.
That figure has been on the FBI website for years and I'm not sure how up to date it is. Extremely little activity from what I can tell, though they are present in several other countries. Here in the U.S., it's elements of the Sicilian Mafia and NDrangheta, as far as the Italian OC groups go.

Today it is difficult to see something from Camorra in the USA, it seems that even the style of Camorra is changing because of the new generation of gamgsters in Italy, now about the past there is this very interesting video:

Was wondering if anyone had any idea on how active the Camorra is within the United States? Don't seem to hear much about them opreating in the USA or interacting much with American Cosa Nostra members, but feel like there are alot of Italians of Neapolitan decent in the US.
