In 2001 he was busted in a money laundering scheme with Bellomo for siphoning money from Longshoremen's Association benefit funds. Cafaro ended up doing 7 years.

Oops my bad I thought you meant his father .. Thomas is an associate that’s close to all the old timers... they allowed him to stay close after his dad flipped but heard they wouldn’t make him... but yes he’s an associate.
